I literally can't go 5-10 games without being disconnected from the server, and it's definitely not my internet as I'm not disconnecting on anything else. The worst part is that this isn't just desync. It incurs as a loss. I've searched the internet and found some other people having the same issue with no response from NRS. It's the same issue people were having DCing during the towers of time but happens during a ranked game.

Like why is it a loss? Why can't it just be a desync or whatever. I know most people don't give a crap about ranked or wins or whatever, but it gripes my ass that I'll be having a good set and it DCs, then to add salt to the wound I have an unfair loss on my record. I'm an online warrior and this crap isn't fair.

Controls feel so weird in this game and it pisses me off. It's so clunky, and having to press inputs so quickly to get moves out is weird. Coming fresh off of MK9, it's just so weird that inputs like BF3 for Sub, or BF1 for Scorpion don't reliably come out half the time.

And annoyingly enough, even with release check and input shortcuts off, it's still difficult and unreliable.
It's very weird. In Guilty Gear, Ramlethal uses target combos as her combo system and you can actually hit confirm into the next attack without any problem. In MK11, it feels like you're unlocking a combo through a code (Contra on the NES) instead of linking moves together. In a three-hit string, the first two attacks a lot of times won't come out when done on their own.

It's rather mashy and not very intuitive at all. Without the ability to hit-confirm, it makes the neutral game feel off.

I also wish there were more normal attacks that could two-in-one combo into special moves.

It's not just teleports and advancing mids. this game is full with cheap stuff, which again i don't mind. are erron blacks random boots not cheap? or fatal blows that go full screen, are safe, have armor and come out at 10f? Im not an expert in nrs games but even an amateur can see that this game is not as honest as street fighter games.
Very true.

I also think they should remove last breath and make a Faultless Defense-like tool strictly for chip damage. Have the defense bar wear down and slowly regen with use to negate chip. Say a full defense bar is 100%, have each attack wear down 5% of the defense bar and the bar enters a slow regen state. That way chip is fair, but still a legit strategy to use. It's all about good meter management. This system would help far better against multi-hit moves and dot damage than last breath ever could.
 
5.Kung Lao,Liu Kang and Noob Saibot are too fucking strong,seriously,kung and liu have one of the fastest combos and are barely punishable,and Noob's frames are too good for his combo range,not to mention his insane zoning.
6.Geras feels somewhat weak to me,his combos are very slow and his only ,,anti zoning tool'' is garbage,the delay is too long that by the time u input the move,the opponent projectile will hit you first,and even if you hit at the same time you will take more damage and the move will be canceled.



I feel like NRS only wants money,not to make their fans happy :(

How I feel about the exclusive mechanics currently

1. Crushing Blow


I like the mechanic, but I think a bunch of them are impractical. Like Jacqui's dash punch. Why do you need to be at max range? Why not instead have it done on counter hit?

2. Fatal Blow (AKA: The MK-Blue Shell)

I really don't like this mechanic. It's too robbery-feeling. To make it feel more like a legit risk/reward tool, it should require both full offense and defense bars to activate. It should have zero armor. When it is used, whether if it's whiffed or blocked, it goes completely away and both offense and defense bars empty out for regen. It's should be negative on block, but can't be punished (you lose your turn). The percentage requirement should change to 20% or less health (move shows up less) and the animations need to be shortened. Like maybe the initial hit only (A "blow").

3. Flawless Block

I don't think this is needed. I say let the frame data do its job. FB complicates things especially when a LOT of strings have gaps in them. It also devalues characters with bad frame data even more.

4. Auto-regenerating meter for offense and defense

At first I really didn't like this because it felt like people would just wait around for it to fill up. I now feel that if the bars are designed around character's abilities individually to keep them in check, it's fine.

5. Breakaway

It's ok just as long as the breaking character still has to deal with off-the-ground pressure after using it.

6. Last Breath

This is useless in its current form. Chip Kill is a dumb mechanic when you don't have the proper system to support it. Knock down into dot-damage? What is Last Breath going to do there? What will it do if you cancel into a multi-hit move right as LB is available?

I think they should make a Faultless Defense-type of system where you hold block and another button to activate it. It would gradually drain the Defense meter and cause slow regen. Say a full meter is 100%, have each attack take off 5% of meter. That's way more interesting, fair and keeps Chip Kill as a legit strategy.

7. Bleed

It's fine just as long as you can't die from it on it's own.

In general, since meters auto regenerate, good meter management needs to be applied more.
 
* Kung lao is trash tier. compared to other characters that have safe strings and crazy mix ups.. BS crushing blow (2 meter divekicks in a row, really?) It costs def & off meter to do his hat move. Z hat is to predictable. And his teleport is too eazy to punish.

* Strings have delay, like it comes out on screen after a second when you pressed it. it only messes up simple strings instead of adding strategy. BS difficulty imo. The difficulty should be in complex combo's and your opponent.

* Fatal blow eats a bit too much damage.

* wake up attacks. Not a fan of it, i rather use specials, pokes or roll outss to wake up
 
Do you think just fucking once they could not design moves as domineering and obnoxious as teleport punch/slam, recognising that the ONLY characters people end up playing are scorpion and noob and that standing having to constantly anticipate these moves isn't fun?

Never mind allowing them to combo off/into them and amplify them just makes a bad situation worse?

FFS I'm getting really tired of seeing this shit online. It's ALL people do
 
I mean Scorpions TP can be a little obnoxious in Reborn but that’s what you’re paying skill points for. The other TPS are either easily punishable or really slow.

Noob’s a good example. When I fight Noob and I’m outside of the range of his longer buttons, I’m praying he’s going to TP. It’s a free combo. You punish it once and he’ll think thrice before doing it again.
 
This game has weird mechanics. Scorpions regular teleport is hard to punish if they can amplify it after they did the regular. Whenever i try to punish it, their is always the risk they amplify the teleport..

Meter seprated in off and def is also weird. Ppl can too easy break out of combos. And punish me bc they break my combo.

Kollector has like no way to check people crossing him up on small neg frames. All his strings either whiff or drop on the second hit so you have to read it and commit to just blocking when their negative.

Also geras d1 in that matchup is cancer.

The low overhead string is minus 1, with his 6 frame poke you just have to block after.

F212 string is -3 so you have 1 frame adv in terms of pokes. If he does the low or db2 you'll get caught trying to mash.

U2 wakeup completely whiffs on jump ins unless they're doing is from sweep range. So he's free to geras belly flops all day. (fuck that move)

Basically kollector is free to mashing and yolo jumps. Both scummy strats

I guess this would be the right thread to ask this... is there a place to just get some XBox GT's of players for friendly competition? Other than playing a random person one or two matches and they leave? By the time I get online, my small circle of friends are already turning in for work in the morning.
 
I just wanna say that I’m disappointed with the fatalities. They are one of MK’s strongest point and I really thought NRS would go wild in this game. Maybe 5 fatalities for each character, maybe bring animalities or friendships back in a really entertaining and creative way. But, instead, we got only 2 fatalities and some characters have really boring ones... I expected something bigger for mk11. Also, their cinematic seems really rushed... idk, I’m just not feeling it
but I do love everything else

How do i hit him with kitana when he's jumping back and has a life lead if you're so fucking brilliant?
I can't air to air him because he'll just teleport, i can't throw a projectile because he'll just teleport. Wait a minute, his teleport is staggerable if he has meter and he just doesn't have to do an attack which i have to guess if and when he does? but yes block because that's the only thing i can practically do.
I made a thread about this, and despite being flamed and crucified for demanding nerfs (when I clearly stated I am not demanding nerfs), I got some good advice. You should check the thread out :D

I don't think Scorp should be nerfed but I definitely think he is the easiest character for anyone to pick up and get to a high level of play. (even more so than Erron Black)

On another note, I have a separate complaint with the waiting to get to the next match online with the same opponents... PLEASE make it quicker to get our "rewards" with koins and everything so we can just play the next damn match. Between waiting for that, respect in KOTH, or a ten minute fatality it all adds up taking away precious time. You could play another handful of matches with lost time from all of that. I find myself mashing A just to skip as fast as I can to keep rolling.
