We know both tournament variations :
1- Upmace, Teleport, command grab (DBZ motion)
2- three moves that trows magic shit, does someone what do they do?

Based on the earlier leaked pic of the preset variations, one of them is the one that leaves green groundflames and the other I think was briefly shown in Kollector's trailor where he threw an arcing green projectile. The third one just allows both of these previously mentioned moves to be used while in the air.

But, ummm.... but no variation has the discus toss that has a krushing blow and if amplified can combo. That´s absurd

That disk replaces his bola move, which also extends the combo for a bar but is much slower than the disk and can be canceled. I imagine the disk would be awesome for some conversions into restand (for which bola is too slow) and for zoning as well. But we aren’t getting it until more variations are added(

Don´t forget is has a krushing blow that pop ups without being amplified.
It´s absurd that NRS make a special move with krushing blow and don´t put it in any variation :mad:

Yeah!!! Especially considering the requirements for the said KB ( for opponent to be hit with something else (green flames) while getting hit by a disk). Like it needs to be combined with either the arcing projectiles or the DOT flames!!!

That's the flames and then gear moves that change the flames into projectiles with actual hitstun, you can see them in the reveal trailer

EDIT: Shit I didnt even see the other post, yo dot flame AND actual projectile? Excitement.

Can’t wait to get my hands on him. Day 1 main for sure. The second I saw his gameplay, I was sold. Has a projectile, an absorb/reflect and a teleport and command grab in one variation. Hits all the check marks for me. Plus, as a scarecrow main in IJ2, how could I not like him. The similarities are definitely there.

He doesn’t have a projectile in the command grab/teleport variation

Edit: or do you mean a 30 frame start up bola?!)

Yup, was referring to the Bola. Projectiles are more of a luxury to me anyway. The slow startup doesn’t bother me.

Struggling to find any worthwhile combos with Kollector, if you guys see any let me know.
He's so cool and he has very versatile normals but he can't combo for shit from what I've tried.

Random notes

b3 is plus 5 but you're very far after it and it's a high high. Amazing anti air. Swings the chain around while moving backwards. You can cancel first hit into Bola for a combo

Command grab only ticks from d1 and d4, doesn't work from d3 but his d3 is insanely long, has more reach than his d4. Also doesnt tick from any string sadly.

2 1+3 restands but you're 0 on hit and his fastest move is 8f.

Both Bola and mace cancels are very bad on block, -14 or higher so you're better off letting the regular frames of whatever move rock.

f12, low start and the 2 is 2 hits so you can hit confirm easily. -7/-6 on block. He has an overhead and a low ender. -15 on both and they both knockdown. The low is the fully crouched move from the kast.

b23 and 32 are second hit mixups, b23 is low and 32 is overhead. You can cancel b23 into bola MB for a combo but 32 knocks down.
32 has a KB if the first hit whiffs and they duck block the overhead 2nd hit, bounces them up and you can do dash 12 xx Bola.

All his 4 normals (outside jump/hop 4 and the sweep) are chain moves.
Standing 4 has reach good and a very useful poke but it's a high. 44 he does a long downwards swing ala Takeda's whip b2, mid. 443 doesn't come out on block.
f4 is a low low, idk how useful this is so far coz the range isn't too hot and it's unsafe.
d4 is also a chain, ticks into command grab and has solid range, but d3 reaches further.

db3 is a solid combo ender but you gotta be aware of your range coz 3rd hit has shit range compared to the rest and can make the rest of it drop and leaves you open for a punish if you're too far.

Not as important but his throw brutality is bugged or something because I can't get it to work, even brought out a turbo controller and it still doesn't work (requirement is mashing 1 and 2 from a back throw that kills)


443 is +5 :eek:
the 443 ender doesn't come out on block, Same with f3 followups and b1 followups as well.

What are your thoughts on Kollector so far? Anyone got the game early tried him yet??
I like him, though I am a bit uncertain ATM. He's got great footsie with his range (his 4 is incredibly good), good safe options and decent combo damage with ex-bola. But I feel like he can get rushed down easily, no full-screen zoning, meh mix-ups, and doesn't really have combo options outside ex-bola. He'll be boss at whiff punishes, I think. Unless there is something particularly broken that I haven't noticed yet, I wouldn't say he's top tier. These are all just my initial impressions though, looking forward to seeing how it'll be like a week or two in.

I think he'll be a more versatile option which is always what I end up playing anyway, but I could be very wrong

Edit: So he isn't very versatile, more like space control. Also he has an Infinite that I can't seem to time right ATM.

Had just an hour with a game, was messing with Kollector’s infinite, it’s pretty hard, but doable with practice, hope they don’t patch out the UpDemonMace cancel extension completely but allow for like 1 or 2 reps in a combo, like Blue Beetle’s flight cancels.
