Is nobody going to talk about that "finish him, finish her, finish school" though? Because that's disturbingly cute and I kind of want Boon to date my cousin now.

'ello baby, did you miss me?
TL;DR- fanboy gonna fanboy.

If you write something respectful to me I’d reply in kind, but as all the other fanbois here, you’ve got your jimmies rustled because I criticised a company! Seriously- get a life and stop White Knighting.

You’re wrong about MK12 too, by the way.
The very first thing you did on coming into this thread was imply that anyone defending NRS's business practices is a blind fanboy. When I responded to you with three counter-arguments, your response didn't address any of them and simply dismissed me as a fanboy.

And you're complaining about not being treated with respect?

Are you for fucking real?

Funny how the biggest assholes, who are so fond of telling everyone else to man up, also tend to be the biggest snowflakes when their own wittle feewings get huwt. I wonder if it has anything to do with how little thought actually goes into the shit you say. And every time that fact is about to be exposed, you develop a severe case of butthurt to hide behind.

I'm not going to pretend like you don't make some good points, and belive me: I'm probably the guy that wanted Shang main roster the most in this forum, or close. And I'm not a fan of Shao Khan being pre-order bonus when he's clearly part of the story.

NRS did also say that there won't be any microtransactions whatsoever though, and that's huge for a AAA title in today's market. Besides remember that Noob was by far the most requested character for the game, and he's not behind a paywall.

Give some, take some. I'm sure NRS had to bargain hard with the WB overlords for what we have, let's not shit on it.

Thanks Burn, now most of the toxic members are after you. And I can breath for a while lol
Did you just call me toxic? Come on man, I thought we were pals.

And many of your posts show you to be an ignorant dickhead who is VERY quick to have a go at others with different opinions. Wheras I’ll criticise a company or a general body of clueless people, but not individuals until I’m directly bitched at.

This latest shit offering of yours confirms that fanboy stance, alright. Thank god NRS has morons like you to defend them, however would they cope otherwise?

I think you may be overly generous towards NRS, but the truth is we won’t ever know exactly who is responsible for this level of, in my mind, rampant profiteering. When Battlefield V and Battlefront II released with their various “issues”, people were very fast to go “Evil EA! Another game destroyed!” However, it soon became apparent just how complicit / encouraging DICE were in the decisions that caused these games to fail.

If it's that big of a deal to you x cancel your mk11 preorder. Why support a practice you despise?

I'm all for voting with your wallet, and I have criticized NRS for plenty of things. Every game they make I critique. If you would, complain about something worth complaining about. Time and time again the company you loathe has slam packed their games with content, yet you complain like they're putting less and less in them. Sfv basically did a full retail early access launch with a fraction of the content this game is gonna launch with.

And I think you are being quite biased against game companies, which honestly I can understand. EA does have a couple of my favorite franchises after all.

Here's the thing though: MK11 isn't even remotely close to examples you made. Battlefront II was a pay to win with as much anti consumer practices as they could come up with, and Battlefield V was a political stunt with lack of content and marketing all about insulting fans. MK11 does have a couple of annoyances, but they are not even close to the EA's trainwrecks!

Don't get me wrong: while I disagree with you, I think your feedback is welcome since it keeps NRS and WB to follow EA's example too hard like Blizzard did. But you also need to give me that MK11 is far from EA levels of anti consumerism.

I think everybody is overreacting over burn's post.

I'm not a fan either of revealing DLCs even before the release of the game, and he made some valid points. He's worried about NRS becoming the new Capcom, and he's right. For now there is not much to complain about, yes, but let's not think NRS is a flawless company.

I love NRS, but I will criticize them when they'll do something I don't like. They only included 25 characters in MK11, while we had 28 in Injustice 2, and I will criticize them for that. I can already see the "But SFV had only 16 characters". Yes, but what's your point ? Capcom did a very cheap move with SFV, but making a less cheap move shouldn't be excused either. People are defending NRS like if it was a personal attack. It's a company, their goal is to make money. That far, WB was respectful towards the players with the quality AND the quantity of content in their products (just talking about MK here), but if WB becomes greedier, then I'll complain about it, and you all should do the same. We have a publisher that seems to care a bit about the content they're releasing, it is rare nowadays, so let's keep it that way.

There is no need to be agressive towards @Burn2019 , and burn has no reason to be agressive too. Let's all calm down and respect each other.

MK11 so far seems that way.

But after “easy fatality tokens” in MKX, deliberately holding back a genuine fan favourite (Shang) in place of a character not many cared much about (Jacqui), introducing a roundly criticised gear & lootbox system (IJ2).... I think you may be in for an unpleasant shock regarding NRS.

MK11 doesn't have that stuff yet though. I want to think they learned from their mistakes and those of other companies, and won't be pushing too hard.

So far they have given us reasons to be cautious, but not negative. Let's be that way.

My counter points are

a) that you are misrepresenting me, as I did NOT say “they’re putting less and less” into the games, and

b) If MK11 were entirely “my” game, I may well be cancelling and still buying PRE-OWNED later to not give NRS any money. However, my partner dearly wants us to get this on release, to learn it together. At the moment I don’t have sufficient reason to cancel. But this will very probably be the last MK game I get as a result of their business practices and costume pandering.

I’ll keep an eye on what NRS do over the next few weeks.

The reveal of paid DLC before the full roster, plus the choice of DLC compared to the base roster is a very clear signal to me. At this point you and I will simply have to agree to disagree.

NRS announced 4 paid DLC characters for MKX before the base roster reveal. And highly requested Tremor and Tanya ended up DLC, while Jacqui and Ferra/Torr were added to the main roster (no offence to their fans).
Took 4 years to see that "clear" signal. Well, not so clear to you, I guess.
So it's funny that you're trying to open everyone's eyes to the truth, still not realizing that everything is happening not for the first time. Don't worry, it's not so bad. Next time you will understand the obvious things faster. Perhaps three years.

MK11 basic edition now sells for $200: “I know right, evil greedy company wants to make money and pay their employees.”

MK11 now consists of 7 fighters with another 20 as DLC: “I know right, evil greedy company wants to make money and pay their employees.”

MK11 has a 1/2 hr story mode with the other 7 1/2 hours as DLC: “I know right, evil greedy company wants to make money and pay their employees.”

Your corporate White Knighting is embarrassing and anti-consumer, but easily debunked.
You're an idiot. How about you spent years creating something of value, and I'll demand that you sell it for only $1.

Here's what you're missing; they'd be 100% fine doing that, because no one is force you to buy it. If you don't think its worth $200 for a 0.5 hour story mode game, then don't buy dimwit.

That way of talking will only make people want to disagree with you. He's been nothing but polite with anyone who didn't act rude towards him first, why do you have to call him an idiot?

Because he is an idiot and frankly there's no hope of a rational discussion with him on this. Hundreds of people, who have their own lives and families and wants and needs, spent years putting this product together, and he cries because they are announcing DLC before we know what's in the base game? DLC which is also being sold right now, and until this announcement, no one had any idea AT ALL what was included beyond the base game.

As someone who works for a living, also creating something protected by copyright, to feed my family, provide housing, to make my life more enjoyable, and pays (a lot of) taxes supporting society, I find his attitude highly offensive, no matter how "politely" you think he may have expressed it.

My discussion with him wasn't that bad. We didn't reach to an agreement, but you can't win them all.

Anyway while I can understand your frustration, acting that way will just make him (or anyone you discuss with really) less likely to change his mind, so maybe try to chill. There's no need to get heated over this anyway.

In an effort to inject some positivity into this thread, can I just say this roster is so goddamn fucking metal I'm still having a hard time believing just how good it is??? This seriously may be my all-time favorite roster.

My hype is at about 13 out of 10 right now lol

Don't blame NRS, blame the publisher who's soul goal is to please the shareholders.
You mean the publisher that is absorbing 100% of the financial risk, by paying for the development of MK11 up front for years? Everyone that actually worked on MK11 already has their paycheck, so if the game bombs, they still have the money from all the time they spent working on it. Its the publishers money that paid their payrolls.
