I'm hoping she's not just a normal revenant. She wasn't seen as one in previous games, and there was this stuff with her and the mysterious lady in the endings.

Her attire reminds me a lot of Kronika's and Geras' look. She might be working for Kronika, or so I hope.

That would be a bummer for me, if Kabal and Jade just turn out to be slaves of Kitana and Liu Kang without a cool story twist of their own, I know Kittelsen can do better than that!
In her intro's she is talking to Baraka like she is against Kitana, also she is like some oracle, this all sounds more like she is working for Kronika, maybe that happens during the story-mode, Kronika takes over Jade or makes her switch sides. Oracle powers and speed powers serve Kronika well.

I really hope this happens, I don't want them to be slaves to Kitana and Liu Kang, I'd rather see cool stories for Jade and Kabal than for Liu Kang and Kitana which have been overdone. I feel that Kronika will be less of a bossy-boss type character, I think she respects her minions/servants more than Liu Kang and Kitana (everybody must die storyline) will.

Kitana and Liu Kang are the leaders of the Netherrealm faction.

The Netherrealm faction is primarily antagonistic.

Antagonistic factions need jobbers.

I'm not sure what you want NRS to do here, exactly. Not give Kitana and Liu Kang an army, so the only Netherrealm warriors you ever beat are the Emperor and Empress of the Netherrealm, over and over?

Seems like the most likely answer is "nowhere." 99.9% of character endings in the MK franchise have been non-canon. I don't know why people assumed this one would be any different. Other than blind wishful thinking.

This one seemed like it might have more to it. In her MK9 ending, it looked like she was turned/posessed in some way by a mysterious woman. But while everyone else who was killed was in MKX as a revenant, she was nowhere to be seen. Could have easily been an NPC, but no. So canonically from the story mode, she's not with all the normal revenants. Then she again appears in Kitana's MKX ending, looking somewhat ghostly.

Even though endings are neve 100% canon, some are always hints for what's about to happen. So all that combined, especially the absence in the story mode, seemed like they were building up to something. Might also still be true if Kronika just works with the Neatherrealm in some capacity.

Uhm, they actually have Baraka and can have some others, also they have a lot of nameless minions.
I just hope Kronika has a bigger role than Kitana and Liu Kang and that Kabal and Jade start out as mindless jobbers for Kit and Liu but eventually are recruited by the much more serious, powerful and awesome Kronika, and THEN Jade and Kabal LOSE the jobber status and become interesting enemies AND playable characters in the storyline.

You can have it both ways.

I think it is a waste to (at least) turn Jade into just another revenant, she was gone in MKX for a reason, I want a cool reason, not just to see her return as another revenant which works for Kitana and Liu again like nothing ever happend to her in MKX and that she was just left out, that would be boring and cheap writing, something you expect from Ed Boon/Vogel, but not from Kittelsen.

Personal theory:

She didn't appear in MKX because she was sent on a mission and encountering the mistery woman (her MK9 ending) delayed her return but she's the one that put the other revenants in contact with her (Kitana MKX ending where she learns about the timeline fron the mistery woman via Jade) and they ally against Raiden as he's a common enemy.

Still unknown if she's playable, while we have at least a couple of seconds with Liu actually in the game

but yeah, I guess her and Liu both can basically be yellow

It seems I'm not the only one whos rooting mostly for Shang, Noob and Rain. I'm glad I'm not the only one, it feels safe within the herd! ;-)

Also I can't wait to find out what D'vorah and Jade will say to each other, I'm wondering what Jade will say to anyone in the game! That is why I want non-MKX characters in the game, as their conversations amuse me most!

Yeah. That makes sense. All other characters that were shown in menu graphics are basically confirmed.
Shang Tsung might be a DLC character. Raiden was talking about him as "long dead" in one of his intros.
