Bo Rai Cho (An embarrassment, I really don't need fart humor in ANY of my games lol let alone MK)

Hotaru (You could really put the whole Seido crew here but I'll focus on him, who may have the blandest design this side of the Black Dragon Revival)

Johnny Cage as a DLC ? Really ? This character should either be in the starting roster or absent in the whole roster. And this applies to every OG character. A DLC is something you add later, something that was created after the initial release (or at least it should be, since now companies just cut content from the base game to sell it later) and Johnny shouldn't be added later, you shouldn't have to pay extra money to have one of the most iconic character in a series. Imagine doing this with Street Fighter, having someone like Guile in DLC, that would make no sense...

The reason I said he could be DLC was because I know a lot of people like him. Making him completely absent from the roster would make a lot of people feel sad, and I think that's a shame. It's also why I could see Mileena return as DLC, as she's too popular not to be on the roster at all.

Being a fan of characters who aren't considered stables to the franchise, I know the feeling very well. I was lucky to get Tanya in MKX as DLC after having seen her in the Story Mode, while other fan favourites never got that chance.

Some characters are never to be seen again such as Hsu Hao, Kobra, Kira, Dairou, Darrius, Moloch or maybe participate in story mode as NPC just to be killed off spectacularly so other characters can look like badasses or sth.

I also would vote for a change in the announcer's voice. Shao Kahn's voice is instantly recognizable but it's been there forever and in the case of MK4, having Quan Chi's voice as the announcer, it worked and it can work again.

Last but not least, MK character designs and their backstories are missing the John Tobias element. Tobias' input was way more mystical, down to earth, closer to kung fu and sci-fi movies. The ones that we've seen from Deadly Alliance and so on has not been up to par.

Obviously there are some characters I would like to see back more than others, but I wouldn't say no to a redesign of any character other than the three I mentioned.

Kung Jin is probably the only one I'd drop without a second thought, the rest are kinda iffy:

Ermac - He's a fan favorite and it'd be weird to leave him out, but I just straight-up don't really find him all that cool and would be perfectly fine with dropping him, if it were up to me

Jax - On the other hand, i do like jax, but considering we have Jacqui and he is/was retired in story, I don't see much of a need to keep him on the active roster

Erron Black - I just don't like the dude

Ferra/Torr - They're a great concept, and it wouldn't hurt at all to have another grappler on the roster, but I don't feel they really resonated enough to bring back so soon

Reptile - He's one of my favorite characters but i just found his mkx iteration really bland. I have no doubt they could make him seem really special again judging by what we've seen of 11 so far, and i'd love that, but as of right now i wouldn't be heartbroken if he takes a game off

as far as the rest of the mkx roster, i'm either okay with them coming back or they're already in whether i like it or not. I'm okay with them bringing back pretty much anyone from mk9 or earlier, it's been long enough they'll seem like a fresh face this time around.

It really irks me that some people want Frost and Nitara back. Frost is literally just a female Sub-Zero with nothing to offer new except bOoBs and tITs. And Nitara just looks stupid with her wings and pirate whooker design. I recomend people to google some porn sites and get that desire out of your system and out of my MK11.

Would you rather a character you don’t like sit in the background(not gone, but not pushed) forever as a festering sore in the series?

Or would you rather they make characters you don’t like into characters you do?

Like, situation one you lose and have a shitty reminder whenever they get brought up in the games and community.

In situation two, you win and have yet another character to look forward to or play.

There is always a way to make a bad character good.

This is exact thing just happened for me and a lot of other people who thought Skarlet looked like shit in MK9 and her story and play style were kind of barebones.

Now she was one of the most impressive characters shown in this new game.

If you improve instead of remove, you get more instead of less.

Most of the characters people mention here could be remade into badasses. No to Li Me? Just think about how she could be re-imagined. Just about any of these could be reworked into great looking and great playing gameplay-wise. Just look at what they did with Skarlet. Do you guys think they would just rehash the original 3D era characters if they included them? You should all seriously think about that for a second.

That said, what it sounds like is all most of you guys want is the cast from MK Trilogy, which I loved. But I bet you all would be the first to complain that the NRS team lacks creativity and only plays it safe if all they did for every MK release is release the same MK Trilogy cast.

Now are all of you hating these characters from a gameplay or a story perspective? Remember, both of these aspects can be changed and improved.

Mkx newbies, hated them. Dreading another game life of Cassie when I already have to look at Sonya.
