Reset! This Eleague final is ridiculous lol. Smug beats Daigo and faces Tokido in the GF.
Something I always wondered about buffering: is the whole special being input, just fast enough that it doesn’t come out on whiff, or are they actually just buffering the directional inputs and hit-confirming the attack button for the special if the light hit connects?New awareness. I'm prone to buffer attacks and/ or misusing tools to counter them. Luckily all those matches with shazzys Cody eating his st lk ~ ruffian kick after blocking his low forward helped me realize this weakness- though it was annoying lol. Kolins and Sakuras lk are strong ones too. These kinds of tools are a huge part of sf so I'm sure this will help me a lot.
I think it's the former also, there's no way in hell someone can hit confirm off a 7f lk, or at least nobody can but I may be wrong, I've always wondered this also.Something I always wondered about buffering: is the whole special being input, just fast enough that it doesn’t come out on whiff, or are they actually just buffering the directional inputs and hit-confirming the attack button for the special if the light hit connects?
Because the latter sounds like a bitch and I’m assuming the former would be death if they block bc then the punishable special comes out so you have to make sure to do it only in your whiff punishing range/outside of their block range. So I always figured the former but it’d be good to confirm it finally, no pun.
It's the former, yeah it's a legitimate option select because the special won't come out entirely if the normal is wiffed. Like when I block shazzys low forward, he knows I'm going to counter poke with a 5-8 frame medium attack since my lights won't reach. Therefore he's pressing lk and the directionals inputs on block so when his lk beats out my move all He presses is the final input. If I were to to nothing his lk would likely wiff hense the crouching forward' s range and no special would come out (no pun).Something I always wondered about buffering: is the whole special being input, just fast enough that it doesn’t come out on whiff, or are they actually just buffering the directional inputs and hit-confirming the attack button for the special if the light hit connects?

Yeah for Mr Wizard's comments about how DBFZ had a very big lead over SFV, seems to have backfired with only a 100 difference between the 2 games. Nobody was expecting DBFZ to have SFV 2016 numbers though, that was a freak year, but I expected more1) DragonBall FighterZ - 2530
2) Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition - 2421
3) Tekken 7 - 1504
4) Super Smash Bros. for WiiU - 1303
5) Super Smash Bros. Melee - 1302
6) BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle - 1148
7) Guilty Gear Xrd: Rev 2 - 621
8) Injustice 2 - 356
Since this will be my first EVO, if anybody plans on being there, lets meet up! As far as a second fighter, id say try BBTag. Its more depth than DBFZ, and the online is waaaaaay better than DBFZ. Its at least worth a tryYea SFV's first year at EVO entrants is probably never going to be beaten, it was a freak thing that many entrants. Injustice numbers are too low, that's weird considering most people claim it's the most balanced nrs game, but that don't translate into fun or popular obviously. Bbtag looks interesting tbh, I've been wanting to get into another fighter but tekken seems too time consuming for my taste, dbz I'm not interested, gg seems like a choice but maybe bbtag might be a game I try out.
Nice, yea I'm thinking of getting BBTag, looks real fun. Damn I wish I could attend Evo, maybe next year, I hope you have a lot of fun dude.Since this will be my first EVO, if anybody plans on being there, lets meet up! People gotta spend money to play a game they don’t wanna play? Fuck outta here lol.Nrs community is like spoiled children bro lol. Well one thing, the steep decline in evo entrants has always been a constant since 2011 so it's no surprise, it just so happens that this year there is no dev support so the numbers have plummeted to embarrassing levels. It's like the second nrs shows the slightest procrastination on keeping the community enticed to keep playing their games the players just abandon them entirely. How competitive players don't see the benefit in showing long term support to one of the longest running, richest fg devs out there even if they don't necessarily "love" the current game is beyond me. This community is infamous for their whining and lack of professionalism anyway so the fact nrs shown as much support they've had in the first place is a miracle lol. Nrs has constantly tried to exercise their serious, competitive muscle to show that they want to be in for the longevity with updates, patches, pot bonus' but they always get blatantly shitted on by their own "pro" players. Falke overall has a questionable sense of fashion, so are you really surprised?Wtf is Falke wearing to the beach?
Having an area to improve in doesn’t mean you can’t win. A good player knows that even people at Sako and infiltrations level have areas they can improve in.So Infiltration commented that Sako needed to work on his neutral with Menat...but just lost the mirror match against Sako on stream.
