You guys STARTED the discussion about poverty in a thread about net neutrality, literally made statements about America being a great place concerning poverty, and anyone who responds to that your factually incorrect misinformation that you peddle is just "argumentative". Start living in the real world you idiot, this isn't some country dick measuring contest, it's a factual measure of poverty rates per country, if you are going to falsely state shit about America being great about something, people aren't being argumentative for posting the facts concerning it - YOU are being argumentative for denying it and shifting the goal posts and trying to act like everyone hates America, and doing literally everything other than just acknowledging the facts.

To say america is lowtier is false lmao, as far as 1st world countries go America is great, again there is a reason people go to America to get out of poverty,escape religous persectuion, etc and this is shown now and throughout all of history. America while having a higher poverty rate than some other 1st world countries , people living in poverty in America have better lives than middle class of other countries, a person a 60 percent median income in America makes almost as much as the middle class in the UK,italy,germany,spain,and more. Il link the studies below,and of course it was great, throughout history America has inspired people to rebel against unfair tyranny in their own countries, in the past, many revolutions that happened in latin America , where inspired by the American Revolution. The short violent history? sure America has had racism in the past, but thats not what America was known for, America helped win the ww2 without it the allies would have most likely lost, America helped stopped the spread of communism, America holds the most physical endurance records,nobel peace prizes, innovations, most of the inventions you use now, the fact that they are basically the leader of the free world and are the largest peace keeping force in the world, so again how is America a lowtier 1st world country. And the U.S was not built on the backs of slaves at all, nearly every country at the time had slavery as well, america was built on principles of rising up through hard work, the american dream etc, the american dream is again why the U.S is the leader in so many fields and why it is the wealthiest and most influential nation on earth, and again when people think of coming to a better life they think of America.

Tbh I do agree with the majority of what you post on this site in general. I have to admit I have a really short fuse and I tend to act defensive and not think before I speak, but that’s more of a life thing I’ve been trying to fix. You’re not a psycho, I feel it was mostly somewhat of a misunderstanding between us.

To say that America wasn't built on the backs of slaves is ignoring how the Southern economy and U.S. exports through the 1800s were primarily slave driven. Cities and railroads were built by slave labor (or basically slave labor when looking at the near non-existent wages and employee rights), a lot of our early innovations were based around slavery (the Father of Gynecology was an American who experimented on slave women), and the only purely American form of music came out of the fallout from slavery.
It is unfortunate that is how it is in America. But this is because most of the people in America do not care enough to change it. For a nation full of christians you'd figure they'd help each other out as their demigod Jesus commanded them to do so in a very specific way.
Yeah it’s actually fucked up. I see people who can actually work somehow have disability, while people who can hardly even move have to jump through a shit ton of hoops just to get it. I also know people personally who make 3x as much as I do who somehow get food stamps. It makes no sense how people can take advantage of the system when it’s so hard for people who actually need the help to get it.
Actually, for me personally, my problem was getting disability pay from New Jersey state, not my job's insurance company. I had major surgery in May (I'm doing fine now). My job was to pay me 20% of my income, and NJ state was to pay me 60%. My job's disability pay came through on schedule, and NJ state took four fucking months. The health insurance system in the US is broken.
It should in no way be that difficult to get disability pay. For those who actually and CLEARLY need it, it shouldn’t take more than a week to get everything settled.

This is true, I live in rural America. The people on the reservation can’t even own land, they can’t do anything to rise up outside of leaving the reservation. A surprising amount of them straight up don’t have running water. And I don’t even think the Navajo reservation is the worst one. It’s pretty sad.
I said that u were right about the u.s having a higher poverty rate but i said that many poor people in america make as much money as the middle class in the uk and germany,and other countries.
