Seriously some of you guys in here need to lay off the made-up inferiority complex you have and just enjoy fun for what it is.

If you can watch this, and then think Punk was serious and genuine about any of his tweets from a few weeks ago... I just don't know what to say other than get out of the house and meet some people.

I prefer NRS games to Capcom games... but some of you guys in here really make supporting this scene cringey.

I'm enjoying fun, thank you very much, and this case clearly wasn't one of them. He could either be just arrogant all they way, or he was just trying to be entertaining for the sake of entertainment alone that he didn't actually think twice on what he said. as if being just a straight up moron. But to be actually funny while still knowing what he's doing? I can assure you, that wasn't the case at all.

I just came back from a movie a couple of hours ago, and I still know that he wasn't just trying to be funny, and it's more likely that he was just arrogant all the way.

Like I said to Crimson Shadow, maybe it's you that are just too mature about this. Keep that in mind. If anything, it is Punk who makes people feel cringe at the thought that someone can actually support the Capcom scene, and that wasn't the first time I personally felt that, trust me on that one.

Yes Punk won the SF5 set, but it's not 1-1. That's because Punk went after the whole NRS community with his comments, not just Sonic Fox. He said that if he beats Sonic Fox just one set, he can retire from Injustice 2 as he supposedly doesn't need to beat anyone else in the NRS scene, yet now he can't even get one game from Forever King on Injustice 1. Also, it only makes sense that Punk would win the SF5 set, and unlike Punk, Forever King wasn't disrespectful at all towards him or the SF community by saying stuff like "he only needs to beat Punk in SF5 and then he can retire", he kept being a class act the whole time.

I've never said that what Sonic says isn't Trash talk or that he never trash talked at all, nor that every single thing he ever said is acceptable, but what Punk said was indeed unacceptable. There are different cases to everything, it's not black and white.

If he said something like: "I can be as good as Sonic Fox in Injustice 2 and I will beat him" then that's fine, but if you're gonna say something like: " All I need is to beat this one guy I'm done with the game", then that's just stupidy. I mean, let's just assume he would've beat Sonic Fox and ONLY AFTER THAT, he will be challenged by Forever King to FT10 set. Then Punk will say "I said I will retire from IJ2 if I beat Sonic Fox and I just did, I don't need to play against you because you're not matter at all".

Did he ever check recent tourney results to see that Sonic actually lost several tourneys and especially in recent months before he said such thing?

I take it seriously because Punk was just arrogant to no end, and if he was trying to just be funny, he just didn't know when to stop. And I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks like that. And yes, this Injustice 1, but this still an indicator that you can't say stuff like that without being 110% sure you can back it up.
