I see @SneakyTortoise liking things about the thread title, why not edit the thread title and take one of the O's out?Because the title is obviously shit.
HEY MAN THATS REALLY NOTHING TO JOKE ABOUT.
You're just asking for Bane to be busted. Nobody wants to go through the same song and dance again.LOL BANE LOOKS LIKE HES GOIN TO BE COMPLETE DOGSHIT AND I GENUINELY FEEL BAD FOR U GUYS. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!
Even if Bane is bad in vanilla, we can count on NRS for some changes. So do not laugh too hard now, you may be crying later.LOL BANE LOOKS LIKE HES GOIN TO BE COMPLETE DOGSHIT AND I GENUINELY FEEL BAD FOR U GUYS. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!
It's not up to me to just go around changing any of the titles I dislikeI see @SneakyTortoise liking things about the thread title, why not edit the thread title and take one of the O's out?
His f1 was my favorite normal that I wish had been useful, I wonder what they did to it for this game. Also the return of his f1 is funny.
And I don't like the idea of high low command grabs. That's one thing I didn't like about Shazam
Now -1 on hitHis f1 was my favorite normal that I wish had been useful, I wonder what they did to it for this game.
I'm not too hype for him, I think they did a great job, it's going to be scary to fight him, but he didn't do it for me.
Liked cap most out of all this stream.
Remember that damages are not final at all.I wonder if he will see any more dmg tweaks before release. His specials seemed to do surprisingly low damage, especially his cmd grab doing only slightly more than a standard throw (the equivalent of only 13%, with the mb version doing around 15%), which is significantly less than in Inj1.
Yeah I know, the grab dmg just really stood out to me when I watched the breakdown again. It got me wondering if they are gonna change it at all, since they appear to be dialing him back a lot overall.Remember that damages are not final at all.
However speaking of damage Tyler confirming that different characters will have different base health stats for tournament play is huge for Bane. More health for absorbing attacks with armor plus damage reduction in venom is an amazing quality of life buff.
True but they are dialing a lot of people back by making a lot more moves unsafe. This is also good for us tho because it gives Bane more opportunities to punish into full venom combosYeah I know, the grab dmg just really stood out to me when I watched the breakdown again. Different health will be interesting. We'll have to see what the spread across characters is like though.
i'm assuming they toned his damage down because of how much more mobile he is. back-walk is actually good now, MB roll, his dashes are still great, etc. all that, and iirc he's kept his d1, he's going to have some really good space control on top of his up-close strengths.Yeah I know, the grab dmg just really stood out to me when I watched the breakdown again. My team's going to be Scarecrow, Bane and then either Firestorm, Fate or Darkseidwhat character are you guys gonna have as a secondary, if any. the zoners look pretty boring this time around, but I might use fate or scarecrow.
That's the thing--it seems that his specials are all unsafe now. If you rewatch the Bane vs. Flash set you can see the "counter" text pop up the couple of times that Derik punished Tyler on blocked elbow drop, and he didn't have much trouble punishing charge on block with a fast advancing special either, but I suppose that's old news. However, at one point point you hear 16-bit questioningly say "No meterburn..." when Tyler throws out a blocked venom uppercut, so I have some kind of hope there.what character are you guys gonna have as a secondary, if any. the zoners look pretty boring this time around, but I might use fate or scarecrow. atrocitus looks pretty good, too

what i'm more interested in is if he has safe alternatives to his command grabs
The thing is youre thinking like Bane still has to face I1 versions of these characters when all of them have been toned down for I2 as well. We dont have to face Flash from I1 any more, we are facing a Flash with an unsafe lightning kick and no more multihitting plus on block launching wake up. That is so insanely massive for that match up.That's the thing--it seems that his specials are all unsafe now. My biggest issue is that I'm not sure if extra mobility will make up for the large hits to Bane's debuff time, BF2 utility, and potentially his grab damage. I feel like he would need a lot of changes to his Inj1 frame data to balance those nerfs out.
Edit: For characters, I'm looking at Bane, Scarecrow, Swampthing, and Deadshot.
