the truth is you don't have any experience to come from to put your cards on the table and explain these numbers you throw out besides theory fighter and what other people say that fit your own personal experience. exhibit a the Balrog-Rashid matchup. No idea where you pulled that 6-4 Balrog from if not your own exp or some guy in stream chat said it and you agree or something lul it's been the same thing with the Guile matchupno idea where you get these ideas from

I never said that Balrog 6-4's Rashid. I think it's more closer to 5-5 but Balrog with advantage due to damage output, mixup potential, and higher health. It's pretty close in the neutral but then Balrog lands a target combo into v-trigger and suddenly Rashid is dead. If Rog didn't have that crazy damage/stun potential - it probably would be 5-5.

I actually have a diamond level Balrog/Karin player that's in my local scene. Guile I got somewhat from playing you in S1 but also just playing Battle Lounges. I def don't have the high level MU experience that you do, so you got me there.

How does Rashid beat Urien full-screen? Rashid doesn't even have a fullscreen move... As for cr.HP, you must have forgot that you have st.MK, and cr.MK. f.MP and cr.MP also tend to beat cr.HP from a little closer. I don't think it's that hard for Urien to get in, just chariot tackle from the right range and you're plus. What a dumb character...

Because if Urien throws a fireball full screen rashid gets in and can usually punish with roll. If Urien throws ex tackle out rashid is in and at advantage for free. If he knees rashid gets to AA. If he headbutts you're either plus 2 or you're smart and ducked so you get a punish. Urien actually has to go to rashid and can't zone him. That's why rashid wins full screen.

Also if you think "just chariot tackle and you're plus" is legit Urien advice I got news for yah. He's strong but he's not that strong. You're talking about pixel perfect spacing on a move where you can't space it cause you can only walk back or stand still while charging it lol. So no you can't just tackle to get in that's a great way to get whiff punished or just get point blank at disadvantage.

Rashid doesn't win full screen. That's not how you analyze full screen. Only when we are both standing in the last quarter of the screen. Rashid can't roll that far. Fullscreen is where Urien can safely throw orbs or charge an orb. If Rashid lets Urien charge an orb, he's letting Urien control the screen. Also, Urien can activate v-skill from full screen and that just makes him even more scary in footsies range. That's why Rashid has to get in and that's why Urien wins fullscreen. Most of what you wrote about is neutral and idk why you'd be throwing out some of those moves anyway.

The thing about chariot tackle was just to show that he can make himself plus and point blank. It might not be easy but there's definitely a range where it's going to be at least safe.

Yeah if rashid decides to actively stand in the complete opposite corner Urien can do that. Let me correct myself. Ahem. If rashid plays outside of range of all normals but not so far that he's useless(which is what most decent rashids I see do) he can react and punish everything you just said. Also no, Urien can never space a tackle to be plus enough to press buttons vs rashid and win. Vs Characters with 4 frame normals only he theoretically can but won't, it's just not a thing anyone could do reliably.

Deleted - because I realized arguing here is pointless and none of us are even listening to each other.. and some of the participants are too socially non-functioning to realize the way they present their side almost automatically makes it impossible for anyone on the other side of the argument to say 'well, ok, you have convinced me. I reconsider'.

A few opinions:

PR Prog's opinions dont count. Seriously. That guy has the most skewed view of any pro I have ever seen, period. He spent a huge chunk of s1 saying Necalli was about mid tier and Balrog was bottom 2. Please reconsider before using anything he says as evidence. yeah, I get it, he's better at the game than I am, but his opinions are still incredibly self-serving.

Ibuki isnt top 3. Seriously. People are going to get used to punishing the dashes, and blocking/escaping some of the setups and realize that the OH that combos into 200+ damage is part of a TC (unless CH of course) etc etc. How far will she fall? Not far. I was wrong about her in s2, I'll admit it and hold my L there, but shes top 10, not 3.

You guys realize that nobody has actually said Ibuki is top 3 in here right or made that argument. Just people who agree Ibuki is obviously toptier and I mentioned that the Japanese players believe she's top 3 offhandedly but you're still arguing with nobody lul

It does me as well. Im actually surprised they allow it, given that they ban the Rashid stage thing. I looked around a little and dont see a mod to change it anywhere, which sucks because I *love* that costume outside Vtrigger
