Tier lists by definition are opinions, and are highly subjective. If you need a mod to hold your hand (on a Mortal Kombat forum, no less) so that no one disagrees with your Unimpeachable Tier List of The Decade then TYM probably isn't the right place to be posting it.

Sensitive and care too much what other people think? Public forums aren't a great place to declare your opinions.

That said, I try to keep people from going excessively nasty with threats and name-calling, etc. There has to be some baseline of sanity. But if you can't handle someone just disagreeing with your highly personal tier list which you've posted as fact 3 months into a game, that's on you.

If you can't handle everyone questioning the validity of a call out this late in a game's life by someone unknown then that's on you, right?

If I went up to, say, Kobe Bryant and said I could beat him 1on1. People would clown me until I play and lose. It's expected.

This community makes me dizzy.

Our scene has produced a LOT of talent, on-camera and competitive wise.
But as far as the tournament/major narrative, offline or on, it's been Sonic VS The World for about 3 years and change now.
It's like watching the NBA and WANTING to get your hopes up that it'll be someone else's year, but you know it's 90% likely going to come down to LeBronic Fox against whoever happens to come out on top on the other side.
For every new broadcast, new stream, new tournament, new featured event, the production value rises and everything looks and sounds better (ie. the Kombat Cup and Stream.Me), the names barely change at all.

I'll tell you what. 100% Serious talk.
When I do get back online at the end of March, I'm issuing an open challenge/aggressive expansion recruitment call for all of April.
I'm forming my own stable: the Advent Kombat Alliance. Imagine if the FGC and the Suicide Squad had a baby...you get the AKA.
Inspired by the videos' aforementioned deceased love's mother forming an anti-heroin/pro-substance-abuse-awareness non-profit organization (and because Abbie's brother and my daughter are both avid gaming fans and will love what we do/stand for), she's given me the blessing to make it its own branch in fighting game competition...as I am sure I am not the only person in reach of this who's had a life seriously twisted up and fucked out of shape by dope, addiction and everything in between, that does this not just because its what they enjoy, but because it genuinely makes them better than the otherwise fucked out of their head version of themselves they would be. I'm gonna call it AKA Fight Club.
With the ultimate goal being to have a noteworthy cause and clan of kin to represent and carry on my back if and when my two adversaries accept the challenge, ANYONE who wishes to 1. test my might and see if I am indeed a worthy opponent/capable of doing war with Brady and Reo, and/or 2. join AKA Fight Club by taking me or a cohort on in a fight because they believe in what we stand for.
And when April ends and May begins, you will have all the proof you could need that "The Night The Line Was Crossed (Again)" is not only an idea worthy of hype and excitement, but could lead to more creative, inventive means of Kombat/Injustice based chaos even more impressive and insane.

It's an experiment. And I am a scientist.
Let time be the vindication of my efforts.

At NEC 2011, my first tournament ever, Tom Brady (who I was a fan/i guess pseudo semi student of since I co-mained Sub) literally appeared from nowhere and started shout-challenging Noobe to a Sub-Zero VS Cyrax FT5 duel. It was hype as all fucking hype can be. I said, from that point on to myself, one day I was going to stage a battle of epic proportions on a grand stage against him. That's pretty much the black and white of it. It's been one of my driving motivations ever since. "Be ready to destroy Tom Brady." "If we go to this show, we must seek out and do battle with Tom Brady." "Hey, y'know what'd make this sandwich great? Fucking obliterating Tom Brady."
Adding Reo to my hypothetical battle of death came as chance in October when I was still planning to go to NEC. Someone said Tom fucked up his wrist in an accident, so I was all "well, glad he's okay but fuck, there goes my plan," so I started thinking "well, who else is there I could challenge to a spectacular fight to the death that would make sense?" and Reo immediately came to mind. And not even five minutes after I started contemplating that, I found a video on Youtube of Terry Funk's (most recent) retirement speech, one thought started leading to another...and here we are.

If I were to make a spinal cord out of all the top players that drove me the most to remain a competitor and keep pushing forward, the two of them would probably be the third and fourth vertebrae.

You don't have any real beef or rivalries with them, so calling them out when they don't know you doesn't mean anything to them or a lot of people. You can't just have a rivalry with them just because you say "hey lets be rivals"; there's no history or anything organic about it. Plus, in terms of street cred, they would have nothing to gain by beating you and everything to lose if they lose the match.

First, anyone CAN make a thread like this and try to do what I'm trying to do, but 1. they aren't, because reasons, because lack of interest, because who knows. There is no appetite in this community, no hunger or drive whatsoever to be better or do better. Too many people are complacent with where they stand, where the scene stands, and have no chutzpah to do anything to forward it, let alone strap a neon sign to his chest that says ICE CLONE IS FINE THE WAY IT IS and go knocking on Brady's door. Anything of that sort. Second, there is no viable way to test someone's merit or lack thereof in a situation like this. How do you know how badly - how really, really, REALLY fucking badly I want this fight, or to be a bigger part of things? or how much work I've put in over the years preparing for crazy shit like this to go down? I've said it a hundred times and I'll say it a hundred more: I would NOT be doing this if I didn't think it was 100,000% worth the fucking effort.

And third, I literally just offered to spend all of April and probably the rest of this year fighting any and everyone within sight of my online tag in order to further validate my/my cause's worthiness. I've already made clear that if there is a particular show in mind either or the both of them want to do this at that I'll plan my shit out and be there. I'm gonna be at every east coast major I can get off work for, hopefully CEO too.
I have all intentions of making this a worthwhile pursuit, for myself and the peanut gallery.
That seems like wanting it pretty bad to me.

Tom dropped this game awhile ago and reo barely plays. They both dont get on tyn anymore anyway so the whole challenge is on deaf ears.
