Serious to all the sfv boys. After the couple of days we have had to play season 2 who do we think the top 2 is right now.? I i know there is alot to find before a definitive teir list comes out but who do we think ao far? in no paticular order.

This could change but for now the top 2 are for sure.l. But as i said ita very early days. What do yall think? Discuss.

I don't know all the MU's and I'm not good enough to give out loads of MU advice but in my opinion he definitely loses Balrog. Everybody said Cammy beats Guile but I'm not convinced yet, played it offline with a Diamond Cammy player but I still need more experience before I make a call on it.

Does he not beat Mika and Laura? Seems like they would have a ton of trouble in neutral, and while it's very risky at least Guile has the threat of an invincible reversal to combat their mixups.

Laura's too good now especially offensively against 4 framers and she has armor moves or fully invincible projectile moves to deal with zoning. She has stupid neutral buttons and I can't see the character losing to anybody especially with the universal dp nerfs but I'm sure they'll find something to complain about. It's a similar situation to Guile vs season 1 ryu where you can hit him like a thousand times but you can't make a single mistake in neutral or Guile just gets rolled by 1 or 2 guesses. This is the matchup at higher levels like 90% of players can't even break platinum so of course you'll hear a lot of bums say all kinds of things about how Guile is so toptier and beats everybody

Don't believe the Mika bums the character is fine but idk if Guile beats her now

IMO, Guile has difficulty against Balrog, Dhalsim. Also, @Boss Savage - definitely try Dhalsim, he's an awesome character. Just be warned that it may take a while to get used to him. He has unique inputs and move properties that make him almost impossible to just pick up and play. You have to practically train your mind differently when playing him.

Guile beat Mika on paper before she was nerfed so I can't see how he doesn't still beat her.

You have to consider spacing. You can be minus 3 and safe if 3frame attacks wouldn't reach you. Flash chop in that case is relatively safe. Use cr.mp for footsies. It's great. And st.mp for pressure. St.mp st.mp combos on counter hit.

AND combos after V-Skill, his V-Skill is pretty damn great :)

Also, any time you get a knockdown especially if they don't quick rise, there's almost never a reason to not do a meaty f.hp.

If it hits, you can combo st.mp into light flash chop. If they block you are plus 3 and can frame trap with st.mp or command grab. Both will beat 3frame buttons.
