the only one that looks cool in those leaks, is the Katana chick, but, at the same time, she's a doll, so, my hopes are very low right now, 3 new, and 3 returning ones would be fine

At this point I think it'd be funny if they just buffed guile every patch. Season 5 rolls out and he's just in a tank that you have to kill before he pops out to fight you.

I find that when Im becoming predictable, that pouring a little water on my buttons and letting the short circuits take my opponents to mix-up town, is a super viable option .

I wish Guile had one really dope costume. His flight jacket one is 'meh' at best and there is a ton of opportunity for cool shit with him. I hope when we are a costume for him next it's not trolly though, like an Uncle Sam or Eagle or like And Lincoln looking thing, but is a legit bad-ass costume of some kind.

Guile's matchup chart probably looks worse than before in terms of winning matchups but he'll be fine. There's a lot of anti fireball stuff in season 2. Toptier being normalized was his biggest buff and he doesnt fair any better than the other half the cast that got buffs too. Daigo has just always played Guile too and maybe isn't sure about Ryu right now

While Guile seems very strong, Daigo's sticking with Ryu. No doubt.

While that definitely might be the case (Rog matchup in particular is probably even worse now) I feel like he's still a lot better off right now. He's literally just a better character now as far as his toolset goes.

I don't see how *he* didn't get better.. Of course in terms of relative placement maybe, maybe not (I think yes..) but in terms of buffs/changes received vs nerfs/changes received, I feel like he outright got more. He has everything he did last season doesn't he? On top of more stuff this season?

I'm just nitpicking I guess, because it doesn't matter how good a character is in a vacuum, its strength when compared to his opponents that matters.. A character that auto-kills in two hits is amazing, unless he's compared to one that auto-kills in one.

Regardless though, In terms of his toolset vs the rest of the cast, I feel like he got better in either definition.

It's not like the toptier are trash they're just not braindead, matchups closer to 5-5. Not losing to some characters as hard but losing matchups harder and to new characters doesn't make the character better.
