I really like the idea of a huge influx of cosmetic crappola in the cash shop.. and Im fine with them spamming outfits, but taking like, more than half an afternoon to design them would be nice.. The laura one is honestly worst of the bunch. Its as lazy as they could POSSIBLY be. Oh hey, ya know the slut chick with her tits hanging out in every outfit to the point one of them is banned in some tournaments? I know! lets give her an outfit that has her tits hanging out and barely covers anything because anyone playing her couldnt possibly want to play her in anything but basically nothing!
I mean god damn. I have no issue with her tits falling out of her.. I mean, its not a shirt, so falling out of her ribbons? Whatever. I dont care that shes not dressed, they have established that that is just how Laura rolls and thats fine, but REALLY Capcom? You couldnt have put 30 minutes of additional work and thought in and realized that costume is exactly like all her others and *maybe* offering players something different would be nice?
Ok, and Ken.. ugh. I mean, I get how some people will like it, but its a trolly, goofy costume, which I guess is fine, but I feel like before they release these troll-esque goofball costumes maybe they should add a legit costume or two before hand? IM all for having some absurd looking stuff, but GOOD looking shit should come along first IMO.
Capcom just keeps disappointing me with their design and decisions.. Its almost impressive how much almost *every* aspect of this game outside its core mechanics (and even some of those are pathetic, Im looking at you V-trigger system that's only half-realized) are just.. bleh. Lukewarm. SFV can be an incredibly fun game sometimes, but so much of its presentation is just tepid.. and that presentation is the reason SFV, by pretty much any measurable metric of financial/critical/acceptance success, has been such a failure. They did SO MUCH RIGHT by making combos mostly extremely easy and characters easy to pick up and get started with, thats HUGE for new players, but then they didnt just drop the ball, they threw it as far as they could.
/end rant. It just drives me nuts because SF has so much potential. Here's to hoping S2 rights the ship!
