Well grabs in SFV can be OSd out of block stun if done early.

There's generally a few times where u will always throw tech. A few are as follows:
After a whiff jump in

After a quick normal (very few normals in Sfv can tick into throw without walking forward first, pretty easy to scout)

As a substitute for frame traps (these are easiest to tech cuz OS outta block stun)

What beats this OS is the "shimmy". Which is why u see a lot of tech attempts get punished.

It's fast but definitely easier to combat throws in street fighter than MKX. Although this wouldn't be the case if u didn't have to release block to tech, and have to guess the tech on MKX.

You should try throws in previous games. Throws in V and IV are considered some of the weaker ones in the series.

As a rule though, the series tends to encourage teching on prediction (if you're allowed to tech at all) over reaction.

We've played so many times now, my gimmicks definitely don't work on you...

You can see it is a backroll set-up. I was just giving insight into why it would work i.e. everyone would backroll into the set-up to avoid the fireball on quickrise

I only ask why do I need to play by the rules and read someones wake-up when others don't. I work just as hard to randomly dash up and throw someone as Necalli yet I'm not +25 for reasons and my throw doesn't corner carry 1/3 of the screen

I think Gief should KO on one SPD but we have to deal with the hands we are given.
