It's a shenanigan but you gotta do it sometimes. I like to do it after f.MP and standing HK every once in a while, just to keep them guessing.

cr mp, jump hp, ex peach, and wingless airplane all offer better setups or damage though.

the knockdown is worse than the mp/hp endings since they can't have variable wakeup timings/spacings like the knockdowns do(they also offer infinitely more side switch shenanigans in the corner. And the ex peach has more corner carry and dmg and wingless airplane gets more dmg and can be used to side switch.

Capcom introduce a new mechanic giving you 3 wake-up timings specifically to prevent looping mix-ups then undermine it by giving characters an array of tools to bypass it?

You can't tech on reaction in this game. Grabs 5 frame startup and a 7 frame tech window. So you're gonna have to react to the walk up, not the grab.
