Lmao I didn't understand where all the tweedy hate came from but now I see. Always picking fights over people for no reason. Alien is stupidly easy to pick up and play, mainly acidic
"Always picking fights over people for no reason."

Wise words.

Superman and Deathstroke are middle of the pack when it came to zoning in IGAU.

Compared to MMH, Zod, Sinestro, Zatanna and Raven. Even Batman has better zoning tools then Supes and DS.

The reason they were hated so much is because they had a simple gameplan that could be abused to lower level players when it came to playing the game online. Combine that with the not-so-tolerable netcode IGAU had and the casual community... well. Thats where all hate came from.
Pig, kdz, jupiter, deg and wound confirmed low level players.

In traditional TYM fashion, it went to a tier placement thread.

I was actually looking through the character screen and I began to realize by a major big patch they could actually remove almost all of the 50 50s in this game and make it a lot nicer to play.

An example would be for shinnok, making his f3 a hard knockdown would automatically remove the mixup. For Dvorah make her b1 a mid- Boom. Gone and it goes on.
In general I'm all in for either raising the risk (one option at least -5 on block with a gap into any special and the other one -7 at least) or lowering the reward (smaller dmg output or HKD like you suggested) of 50/50ies.
Unfortunately it would probably mess up the whole game balance as they are a core part of the mkx gameplay.

Oh for sure. Something like this would require a complete overhaul of the game. Nearly every single character would be majorly adjusted and a lot of mechanics changed. It would be much better to make a new game instead. But I feel like they should use characters like tempest, royal storm, Sun God, relentless, etc to model after for MK11 characters. Fighting those variations is so much fun cause you won't get BS'd to death. If MK11 takes after the meta of those characters, MK will be saved.

I fully agree

What the developers need to do AMONGST THEMSELVES, is make majority of the overheads to mids and make the low combo starters punishable if blocked correctly. Do this amongst themselves and play for hours with each character and see if changing all that, 50/50 non stop nonsense more fair, with their run system. (Of course u can have some characters have more than 1 or overheads). Or what they could do is release this version of patch for 24hours to the community and recieve feedback.

So you want somebody to get punished for doing a low when there is almost no overheads with how you described that.

I half agree. I feel like the low or mid launching string should be safe. And the other mixup i.e the overhead or vice versa should at least be -7. That way there would be an obvious way to block, but if they go for the other option, they get punished or lose their turn.

Mixups are necessary, otherwise you don't even really have a fighting game, you have take-turns-chipping-to-death. And I don't agree that safe mixup shouldn't exist. That adds flavor. It's only a matter of risk/reward.

Safe or even plus mixups are fine as long as they knockdown or otherwise do little damage.
50/50s into massive combos are the issue and I hope in Injustice 2 this aspect is toned down. Losing 35%+ of your health for an OH/Low mixup is harsh.

It's not rocket science to open people up without mixups. How do you think the kitanas and Laos do it? It's all about reading and footsies. And we're not saying mixups should go away, just not have both combo into 36% plus and/or be safe or plus.

I shoudn't feel like gambling my life every time I block against my opponent.

Batman did not have better zoning than Deathstroke.

In fact, Deathstroke was higher on the tier list and a better character than Batman.

I agree Deathstroke is better than Batman, but slightly.

I don't see how you think Batman doesnt have better zoning tools than Deathstroke. Trait and batarangs > Deathstroke gunshots all day.

Block Gunshots: It's now your turn to move.

Block Batarangs If he has trait: Still his turn.

Block MB Batarangs: Still his turn.

You don't use trait to zone. They're actually very terrible for the purpose. Trait is for whiff punishing, blowing up people pressing buttons, but not zoning. Also, nothing was guaranteed after a MB Batarang from full screen. It also did very little chip, so there's that.

That is not what the MB Batarang was used for. Also, you block low shots and could close some space, sure. That wasn't the case with straight shots. If you blocked those and tried to move imy, he could blow up your dash with low guns. Or walk back and wait for you to move and use straight guns. Not to mention Batman couldn't go under other projectiles and punish with his own, and Deathstroke could.

Another thing which made his zoning better was what low guns allowed you to do once you respected the option.

You see them start crouching? Interactableven.

Or f3. Or b2 if they were closer. Deathstroke's zoning is what opened all of his other options up.

As a Lobo player. No matter if I was fullscreen or midscreen. I had to be cautious if he had trait. Him just holding on to Bats was threatening.

I don't know what your talking about Deathstroke straight shots. When you blocked gunshots whether it was Low shot, straight shots, machine gun mb or not. You got to moved forward.

Trait isn't a zoning projectile. It was used for a lot of things, but just throwing them from full screen.

Yes, you could move forward. You could also move forward after blocking a Batarang unless you were 3/4ths screen. MB Batarang didn't jail into another Batarang full screen, there's no threat other than a waste of meter.

Batman's zoning relied on the fear of trait. Without it, there wasn't much you worry about with his zoning.

Comparatively, moving in on DS meant moving into f3, 32, b2 space, and he had a great d2 for jumps. His normals in the neutral complimented a zoning playstyle far better than Batman's.

I always crouched fullscreen agaisnt Deathstroke. Straight shots would go over your head. There was no reason not to crouch and just block then move forward.

I don't see what his f3 or b2 have to do with his gunshots. When hes within range of those normals. Hes in s3 or Hook Charge range for Lobo. I just have to pick my time to move against DS if hes walking back or what not then move forward once I blocked gunshots.

Batman it was different if he had trait out. If i blocked trait whether it was 1/2 bats it was still his turn. Lobo's jump was to floaty to avoid batarangs that followed after trait or he goes in and starts pressuring me.
