Tekken Master going to be dangerous from here on out. Too bad he didn't emerge earlier in the cycle of the game, would've created some more hype tournaments with him shaking up top 8s. His play was super good. You could see him get more and more comfortable and confident. Early on he was mashing d1 with both kotal and dvorah, and would hesitate and show too much respect, particularly to the standoff stance, but to some other setups from others as well. Later, he was poking or armoring out of those situations, and going in.

What a heavy debut on the biggest stage. Props to TM.

Your beef is with the character designers, not Sonicfox. It's big money. You can't possibly fault SF for using acidic against blood God in the 5th game after a reset. C'mon.

It definitely seemed that way to me. Tekken Master was wrecking shit before alien.

Tekkenmaster missed the punish on a couple ex flips and dropped combos...he chocked. That's not Alien fault really

That's just what you get with fighting games, the balancing will never be absolutely perfect. Unlike shooter games like halo where it's a completely even playing field, when money is involved people will do whatever they can to win.

Other than the alien pick, it was a great tournament. Sonic still the goat even with that alien pick

You mean with reach? Or more than just reach? I mean even in that everyone starts with the same weapon, and basically every weapon has an easy counter pick. Yea the older halos had some crazy imbalancing issues

Alien was hype. It was the final hurdle. Place (all 100 in attendance) would've come unglued if he had overcame the odds.

Such an epic top8, not S tiers, finals were so close (huge props to Tekken Master)... and then you realize if Sonic were using Acidic all the time he probably wouldn't have lost a single round during the whole thing.

He is so good that he didn't need to use him until the last round of the finals reset, and congratulations to him for not trying it until the very very very end, the guy is just amazing. It just would have been prettier if there wasn't any need of the "Alien too OP" comments that are surely coming now and we could focus on how amazing all these players performed, but amazing tournament and Sonic is still the real thing.

Sonic could've picked Alien at any point and could've won. I applaud him for trying to win with Erron but it wasn't enough. Alien b o y z
