Discussion MY MKXL PATCH LIST FOR KP3 (Post Yours)

Here are my changes for Kitana. I placed the whole thing in another thread FYI.

General:
- Fix glitch that lets people run through her on wake up if she performs a reversal.

Normals:
- D1 changed to +6 on hit (it's +3 now).
- Standing 2 changed to a mid (It's a high now)
- B2 to either start up in 14 frames and do 14% damage or be completely redesigned (25f startup and 9% damage now).
- F2 to be 15f start up (19 frame start up now)
- B3 to be 12f start up (currently 15f start up)

These changes to her normals wouldn't be overdoing it but it would give her tools in the neutral that will allow her to control space a little better and force 50/50 heavy characters to respect that.

Assassin:
- Parry to startup in 3f maximum (Currently 7f startup now) and have glitch fixed that allows some characters to not get hit with the animation if an armor move was used.
- Parry to have an option to counter lows.
- Assassins Rush to be either run cancellable or hit overhead (currently just a mid)

These changes would button up all of Assassin's shortcomings without overdoing it. Even though it's her best variation, it's still sorely lacking.

Royal Storm:
- 2,4,4 to leave Kitana in an airborne state
- Enhanced Fannado to cancel out other incoming projectiles (much like Sub's Enhanced iceball or Takeda's enhanced beam in Ronin)
- Projectile Parry to start up in 9f or 10f (Currently starts up in 17f.)

This buttons up RS to the point where it can be used as a zoning/counter zoning variation.

Mournful:
I'd need a whole other thread to address what this variation truly needs but I'll keep it simple.

- normals with the staff that replace the current normals that use the fans
- the return of the enhanced glaive block stun that was removed in KP2 that allows her to follow up with pressure.

This variation needs a ton of help in general but those are the best things to put that would help.

Xray:
To lock on all opponents when the first hit connects.

I can't express how emo I get when I tag someone with War God EX DB1 at max range and only the first hit connects and then it won't launch. That's really all War God needs.

You mean the most broken neutral in the game with 9f mid s2?
If you think that's broken, I'd love to know how you feel about Mileena's b1, Lao's 9f F2, Tanya's 9f b1 (just the first hit of the string), Shinnok's F4, or Cassies half screen, mid hitting, 11f b1, et al. Giving Kitana that buff is nothing compared to the list above.

Lao's F2 is 11 frames, not 9...

I stand corrected. Point remains that that option along with the ones that I listed are examples of neutral dominant moves that are fast and either lead to plus frames or a mixup. Giving Kitty this option with S2 wouldn't be out of place in the slightest.

I main the character genius of course I am. but two things, 1) plus frames in this game don't matter because of armor and 2) every one of the characters who's options I listed above have either Plus frames or a mixup that follows. Like I said, That's not an out of place change. Judging from your name I assume you're a mileena player. That makes your dispute pretty damn funny if that's the case.

Honestly, the biggest thing that needs to go in my view is the low profiling of mids. The fact that people can low profile DOWN POKES is just so silly and annoying. This also happens with "mid hitting strings and normals" too for some reason.

The hitbox disparities and moves not working properly makes some match ups that wouldn't be particularly bad, hard because you have to take more unneeded risks as your mids don't reliably work and you may have to jump more just to get your shit to block jail.

I also don't understand why fast low pokes in the six frame range also have the ability to low profile.

Hitbox and hurtbox issues existed in other games, but they seem to be rampant in comparison to previous titles.


I would take character hitbox overhauls and string changes over ANY notable buffs for Goro or Kitana for example (except Royal Storm still needs a mask for real to go with that).

1) Tempest regular orbit hat -4 on block - Minus Four would balance all of new fast normals, even with fast normals -4 its not Kung Lao's turn.
HAT TRICK
2) Ex Hat Call Back +7 or +10 on block for balancing new fast normals, maybe even +10 would be balanced because first of all you needs to set up a hat for pressuring so its would be fair.

Ex Hat Call back is keeping Hat Trick together, and someone wants to nerf it, it would be amazing hilarious if Paulo's vision agreed with this.

Stop suggesting nerfs for a character that doesn't need, it will be bad enough if he doesn't get the necessary buffs and Paulo decides to add this nerf to his nerf list, we're suffering enough from the unecessaries Hatarang list of stealth nerfs he got in XL patch which made him far more worse than he already was.

Sorry If already answered but for balanced kenshi you put ex tele beat down to be +10 on block but the move doesn't continue past the first hit on block right? @YOMI REO
I also asked him about that, no response yet I think.

Maybe he means all hits come out on block, but I think he is referring to the situation where last hit restands in the corner.

Would the community agree if i asked for more Ninjutsu buffs just because i think he is too honest?

As far as i know, every single top character in this game should've been nerfed to honesty and those who have dirt to keep themselves alive should've weakness.

For characters, Fujin has got to be a shoe in considering he has a character model... or at least was in story mode. If Sindel returned... make her not trash like in MK9. @DanCock will rejoice.
I'll take her trashy too. Hahahaha I just would like her in this game. Mk9 Sindel with 1 armor move would be great!! I'd play the game again.

So bo rai cho gets a 6f D1 but no one else does? That not fair I think all the characters should get a 6f D1. it's s basic poke button it should be general across the board. And every character needs to be able to poke out of offense when applicable the same.

All the buffs in XL patch, she needed them. She's just as honest as Ninjutsu
