Looking at XL like it was Super SF probably wasn't a good idea. When the characters that showed up have unblockables, Hard to blockables, and of course half screen 50/50s. But good luck to all of you this weekend at FR! May the Nets be with you.

Although how many of you guys can say you're prepared for all the KP2 characters and the newly evolved Ferra/Torr match ups in the course of 3 weeks? Dem pre-regs. But I'm sure the skill gap will prevail but it's annoying that Cyrax went from

ANY net even a traded net can be the start of this. But I know the argument will be made "We dealt with Quan, he didn't win a major. So Cyrax is fine. After all how many majors did Cyrax win in MK9?" Let's watch that fire burn.

For the unfamiliar, how much damage does Cyrax get if the throw connects? His throw setup usually goes into 111 net right? Back into the same situation or more damage?

Also I have a question. Maybe someone can answer. Which is better

A: A character being able to have meterless yet breakable damage into the upper 30s to mid 40s consistantly on each conversion. But not hard to block, just off 50-50s

B: A character that has meter less and metered upper teens to mid 20s combos. But are hard to blockables, in which the character has over 10 different ways to set them up, in which each have a VERY specific counter for and usually leave defensI've options at a very very tight window and margin of error. Which starts off a move that resets and can trade with projectiles to set them up?

Some people need to stop looking at percents as the end all be all. If I can hit you for 25% I only need to hit you 4 times. If you do 40% per combo you have to hit me 3 times to kill.

In the Cyrax situation, while in net. ONE touch difference isn't much.

It's cool to see broken stuff when it requires high level execution but this is pretty basic to be that effective. Seems that way at least.

I genuinely don't get why ANYONE not even the most diehard Cyrax main would want this in the game. What is the POINT of playing this game, there is so many easier games to win at, winning at a fighter is meant to be about skill, why would you play in a way to completely remove that from the equation for both you AND your opponent

much better ways to make money as well

plus its no advantage if its available for everyone, it just shits on game design

if anyone wants this in just to win money in tournaments, they are dropped on head levels of stupid

Yeah, the inclusion of this in FR is bizarre. I don't buy at all that "oh, but the patched characters are basically whole new characters as well!"- argument that was made.

Adjustments made to characters that have been in the game for a long time, been strenuously play tested, had massive amounts of player feedback and observable tournament results.....

Those changes are in no way the equivalent to the addition of poorly tested DLC characters.

block the njp, and you are safe... its a slow ass NJP anyways, 14 frame startup eww.

if they use B1 or any low into net you are safe and you block it you are safe.

he doesn't really have anything broken in that setup. even in the extended version of that, he would have to cut off alot of damage to set you up in that low bomb grab setup only to gain a small amount of damage if successful.

and i laugh at how pig said this was mk9 cyrax. not even close. give me unblockable bombs, command grab normal to force combo starter meterless 60%+, raggdoll to use any time i mess up timing to continue combo.

cyrax is always fun swaggy, and interesting to use, take away the reset and he is like the rest of the cast - the armor that he so desperately aches for, and should be considered low class dirt compared to the rest.


lets be real guys, in what world is that setup practical. take away the NJP, OH, or Low starter into it.

106 on startup, 73 recovery, and you cont stop a setup.

he can only setup things like this off of NJK, air 1112, and combo into Net in air.
and then he has to follow up, so he gets what 8% to 12% before he does the actual combo off the setup. and at any point, he casn Armor out, break it. Back dash on drop from net.(if you can backdash the reset you can backdash a Low bomb.

I was honestly debating over if I should put those combos, because I didn't some random dude looking at them going to FR and winning based off of it, but i really think that evidence had to shown of how stupid this shit is. A Cyrax player, I love my character but I look at some of this and wonder why we are allowing this at a major? I want him to be ironed out and normalized as a fair character before he starts being in tournaments, but I guess its too late now
