Agreed... roll>11-net is inconsistent, but he could wake-up ex-saw or ex-AA-grab instead. Costs meter, but seems rather fair.
Yep, not to mention that he has crappy pokes, a funky njp that mostly hits mid, a crap upercut and no good armored wakeup (teleport is alright but the scaling is ridiculous).

He has really good dmg you just have to work hard for it. I just find it funny how people are complaining yet there are much crazier characters in the game that nobody mentions, like fucking Ronin Takeda, Piercing Mileena, Acidic Alien, Sonya (talk about hard to blockables :REO), Cyber Sub, Shinnok etc.

No, I got anti-air grab, super high meterless damage, hold dat armor breaks, and a whole array of crazy setups, i dont think we need an unblockable guaranteed setup

one little fix would make all of this go away....


No low bombs when the other player is trapped in a net, only air bombs.
I really like this fix for the broken HTB and essentially unblockable setups, but like i think instead of no ground bombs at all i think that it should be like a distance thing, you can only be say 3/4 of the screen away to throw out a ground bomb, and if you get closer than that distance while they are still in the net, the bomb doesn't blow up, this allows cyrax throw out something on trade instead of a high air bomb and gives him breathing room full screen. But it still removes removes the HTB/unblockables(although this might be hard to implement)

it doesnt really matter though because you can throw low bombs again immediately after you hit them out of the net. the whole point of the net is to extend combo's, not setup hard to blockables. thats what nj3/4 and 1112 are for. or in cyrax case i should say 114 and f131,

This sounds and smells like salt to me more so than actual dirt... and why is this just coming to fruition, didn't we post several vids on this setup on day 2?
how in the world is that even remotely broken. how is that almost guaranteed damage from the low bomb and throw any different than any other character getting damage after a neutral jump punch.(how is it different than comboing after a NJP?).. can both be breakered? can both be avoided?

block the njp, and you are safe... its a slow ass NJP anyways, 14 frame startup eww.

if they use B1 or any low into net you are safe and you block it you are safe.

im just not understanding whats wrong here.

he doesn't really have anything broken in that setup. even in the extended version of that, he would have to cut off alot of damage to set you up in that low bomb grab setup only to gain a small amount of damage if successful.

and i laugh at how pig said this was mk9 cyrax. not even close. give me unblockable bombs, command grab normal to force combo starter meterless 60%+, raggdoll to use any time i mess up timing to continue combo.


cyrax is always fun swaggy, and interesting to use, take away the reset and he is like the rest of the cast - the armor that he so desperately aches for, and should be considered low class dirt compared to the rest.


lets be real guys, in what world is that setup practical. take away the NJP, OH, or Low starter into it.

106 on startup, 73 recovery, and you cont stop a setup.

he can only setup things like this off of NJK, air 1112, and combo into Net in air.
and then he has to follow up, so he gets what 8% to 12% before he does the actual combo off the setup. and at any point, he casn Armor out, break it. Back dash on drop from net.(if you can backdash the reset you can backdash a Low bomb.

Someone shows off broken tech for a character - People call the character broken or say 'they have always known he/she was broken - Someone who plays the character tries to justify this by downplaying said character - The "Other characters have it / are more broke therefore it's fine for my character to have this" reasoning comes along. We've come full circle boys.

For real though, this is some very wack stuff. No amount of bad D2s (his D2 is not bad at all), mostly mid hitting NJP (since when do people use NJP to be a legit overhead, especially since Cyrax has B1 and B2) or bad pokes (his pokes aren't great but certainly not bad) can justify this.
