Street Fighter V General Discussion

So, i just found out, that there are these projectiles or moves that are super hard to punish with CA due the motion input, However, Cammy's V-Trigger activation (Delta Drive) Freezes the game enough for you to input the CA motion and freeze even more with its activation, making safe moves on reaction, incredibly unsafe.

I've saved all of them, will post in here later, that is nuts.

We've been doing that since the beta.

Meanwhile, on Twitter.

I like that SFV is FORCING the sf4 generation to become fighting games players. No wonder so many were secretly hoping fir sfv to be/do bad.

What exactly is a crush counter?
Its the new system implemented in SFV, there is this thing called priority normals, medium attacks beat lights, and strong attacks beat medium and light attacks, if my attack is already in motion, if you try to stuff with a light or a medium, your attack is ignored and mine connects as counter hit giving me more frame advantage.

However, every single character has this new mechanic, where punishes and counter hits with a specific strong button normal will cause crush counters, when this happens, the person who got the crush counter becomes super plus on hit and is allowed to connect another normal, in most cases special cancelable.

Now, there are characters who can V-Trigger their normals and apply a very damaging combo post crush counters, Cammy is one of them.
Check this out, Cammy has a lot of damage potencial from any ground hit imagine getting one of these after a crush counter.

As result, you will be very afraid to press buttons at all, you risk getting thrown a lot afraid of mashing out, you can still do DPs and so on, but those are also super punishable on block, which will end up giving crush counters to your opponent anyway. Risking throws after stagger pokes also can be crush countered, its pretty good.

Those who like to mash pokes, those who like to grab from dashes and so on, have to be aware of this stuff, one right read with CA full and V-Trigger full will net so much damage.

Thanks for the explanation bro. So...
1) A crush counter ALWAYS starts with either a heavy punch or heavy kick right?
2) By 'strong' button you mean fierce or heavy correct?
3) So if I'm using say Ryu and another Ryu misses a dragon punch or I block it if I do a heavy punch>heavy kick is that a crush counter then?
4) If heavy's beat medium and lights then wouldn't everyone just trade heavy's?

There are certain crush counters thay work. So every charactera sweep crush counters. And certain heavys cc. I play birdie so i could punish a dragon punch with hk and follow up. And heavys beat lights and mediums on like trades. If your up close and they hit a 4 frame jab and you did a 10 frame heavym yiu would still be hit out if it. Now say up close you block 2 jabs and with push back you went for a heavy and they went for a medium and instead of a trade your heavy would win.

Wait, so if I'm close and I hit heavy but they hit light since the frames on light are less then light hit wins, so how does heavy beat a light and medium? I'm confused sorry.

Its easier to think on a trade. So someone hits mk at a distance to space you. And you did like heavy punch cause you spaced them out. Hp will win. Or if some one was just hitting lp over at a distance to bait you. And you hit hp and it catches there lp. Itll win like that

LOL sorry i don't know how to deal with dhalsim either so telling my self that just makes me feel better when I lose
Definitely Giefs worst matchup but I think its only 6-4 or even 7-3 at the worst.
Also I have played casual match to try and find some Nash players and only found 1, tried rank and fought 3 in a row
