32 frames in a 60 frame game is .5 seconds
You're right. In a perfect world where you throw Ferra in the corner and she hits and runs straight back to you, you should hopefully have her by the time your opponent starts jabbing your shins in.
32 frames in a 60 fps game in the best case scenario where the average move speed is 1/4 of that is still not great.
Being +6 in a scenario where you have to wait 32 or more frames to use your offensive tool again is also not great.
Want to know how to beat this? If you're midscreen, judge if you're close or not. If you are, b.121xxferra toss close can be backdashed. If you aren't, b.121xxferra toss regular can be ducked by 95% of the cast (I think only Torr can't do it because it clips ferra).
Or punish the gap. If you knock down Torr, he loses everything.
If they get you in the corner and are doing b.121xxclose toss, then punish the gap.
This is no different than most characters who have pressure strings, except when Ferra/Torr does it you can safely block low because he loses all overhead moves and has a consistent gap every time which only has its weakness somewhat covered in the corner.
