Got the game at midnight, tons of people there. There was a Dj, food, MW3 set-ups, pretty legit.

The game online is really laggy right now. Plus I'm noticing the spawns seem to be sporadic. So far every single game has been laggy, not even kidding. I don't understand why they just didn't do dedicated servers like they did for CoD4.

dude everyone and their mom are online with that game right now (well those who didnt want an MW2 expansion pack - BURN!) so the online is gonna be awkward as fuck right now. :p

you might as well not go online for about 2 weeks at least and let it settle down. Its like that for any major game with online multiplayer.

I know, they should have dedicated servers though. CoD4 was the best online experience I've had and it was because they had dedicated servers.

My first impressions so far are positive for the most part. Played Spec Ops for several hours with my Bro and it was pretty fun. We mainly did the missions, then ended it with survival. Survival is basically Zombies, just without zombies and it's a little different.

Multiplayer right now is sketchy. Most people are camping right now because they don't know the maps, or just aren't familiar with the game. The maps are a lot smaller than usual and there tends to be no spots where you can "hide". However there definitely are spots where you can camp pretty effectively, as well as "power spots" that Infinity Ward claimed they tried to get rid of.

The sniping is amazing. Though, with the lag right now, it's not as fun. You kill a guy and 2 seconds later it pops up as a kill, it should be instant. It's not like this everygame thankfully. Back to sniping. There seems to be less auto-aim than in MW2, which is nice. The quickness as far as quick scoping is maybe even faster than MW2, or at least the same. I've only used the bolt action sniper so far, will test the others eventually. There seems to be some kind of glitch where if you try and shoot too quickly consecutively, you get a "miss fire" and you don't even get a shot off. Has anyone else experienced this?

Haven't tried the Single Player Campaign yet, dunno when I'll get to it. I never finished MW2's Campaign either. Everytime I sat down and tried to finish it, I would get bored and just get on Multiplayer. I've heard that the MW3 Single Player is pretty good though.

Not gonna say I love the maps, but they aren't terrible either. There's a lot of routes in some maps, and only one to two mains areas in others. I was hoping to see some CoD4 maps that we didn't see in MW2, like Pipeline, Downpour and Chinatown, but that may come in the DLC.

Overall I'm liking the game, I just wish they would have used dedicated servers. Also, Stalker is an amazing perk! Just wish it was a different tier than Dead Silence... oh the broken fun that would be!

Total Biscuits review of the pc version of the game. For people that don't know, TB is a well known person in the gaming community in many different genres.

I was hoping MW3 would take the series to a new level, and apparently it doesn't =/. A lot of reviews are not going well on the pc (outside obvious big name reviewers that are given incentives to give good reviews). I'm kinda sad that MW3 is looking bad on pc.

Outside of pc, the game looks alright on console. Though...
popping up is kinda "lol"

I enjoy how they didn't change the core, rather, they found better ways to do perks, kill streaks, attachments. Gun Leveling was perfect.

UMP is still a beast of a gun, its like they didn't learn at all.

The maps are ... different. There have been a few WTF with spawns... I was in MY spawn and I watched an enemy pop up .... yeah.

congrats assholes you guys bought 60$ for new maps!

Horay for expansion packs!
I don't understand the complaint? Why would you want them to completely change the gameplay? MW2 gameplay was fine aside from the things they actually took out for MW3. Plus the game does play differently than MW2 anyway, in a good way. I know people are hating out of ignorance and probably haven't even played the game yet, it still doesn't make sense to me regardless.

its the same argument people gave about SF4->SSF4-> SSF4:AE and MvC3->UMvC3

The problem i have with this franchise is... if i were to put mw2 and mw3 side by side i wouldn't tell which came first if it weren't because one says 3 and the other one says 2, as they release games they don't innovate, people just buy it because it's the new COD. That's why i bought mw2 it was a clear improvement over COD 4, i value my money i don't blindly buy games cause people play them, i don't buy them twice. The reason im not buying mw3 is just because it's mw2 with new maps. Im not saying they should completely revamp the game or the mechanics but just don't sell the exact same crap with a slightly different name.

It's a 60$ expansion pack plain and simple.

Sell black ops and mw2, got about 35-40 bux, and pitched in 25 for mw3. it clearly is really good.

This... except switch MW2 with Halo:Reach (I used MW2 to get Mortal Kombat). It isn't the same as MW2. The graphics are, but thats really it. The gameplay is much better (as of now... who knows what people will find). The Kill streak system is awesome now. Specialist class is awesome if you haven't tried it. Kill Confirmed is probably my favorite game type, and I can see it being the way to play competitively.

Juggs I dunno if you are a quick scoping fiend... but I haven't really been put out by it. The maps suck for sniping though, most of them are SO tiny. They changed how kick effects shots from different guns... you won't have an UMP firing on a sniper and winning (unless the dude is just horrible).

The campaign was awesome. Great story. I am waiting for the weekend to play Spec Ops with my cousin, I bet that'll be awesome as well. I'm entertained... So i feel like my 30 bucks was well worth it. If I get bored... I have a guarantee that i'll get every penny back from Gamestop.

Loved MW2 & Black Ops but not feeling MW3. Definitely agree, it feels like alot of money for new maps. The support kill streaks are stupid because that means even crap players can get things like EMPs every game. Whats the point in using anything thats not the Scar too?

The sniping is back to how it should be but all of the maps are too small for it any way.

I believe my friend said it best on how it is destroying the gaming industry so I will just copy and paste it here:

"Because instead of buying original games that try to innovate and change the industry you're buying the same trash that you've bought for the past several years, which by proxy promotes doing as little work as possible, copy pasting games, and shutting down creativity and actual good work.

If the market becomes crowded with games like this, then it will be the only game that is profitable, and no one else will make a game that is any different.

Buying MW3 is saying that its okay to release the same game four years in a row.

Vote with your wallet. Don't buy MW3."

for me to like mw3 this much, means its good lol.

I don't like that argument. It's a military shooter that's part of a trilogy. Of course it's going to be like the previous 2 games in the trilogy, but way more improved. That's like saying don't buy gears of war 3 because it's similar to 1 and 2. Or don't buy halo reach because it's similar to halo 1, 2, and 3. Or don't buy Skyrim because it's similar to oblivion and morrowind.

This game is way more balanced than the previous ones with way more options. It's the best modern warfare in the trilogy.

Don't fix what isn't broken. It wasn't broken in MW2 so why fix it? Not to mention there's only so much you can do with the LOOKS of a game. Graphics aren't going to keep getting better. The game play is clearly better and all the new add ons are great. Coming from me (A HUGE HALO FAN) this COD is great and is better than MW2. They did the same thing...they took what was good and made it better and didn't try fixing what was broken. I highly recommend it.

Not to get off topic but all the Halo's were different. The order I enjoy the game play in would be 1, Reach, 2, 3 and we don't count ODST as a halo game lol.

Of course they were all different. But not necessarily with the way the game looks (outside of graphics upgrades) and the general atmosphere of the game. Each game had different modifications to it with improvement in mind. It's the same for modern warfare.
