Well, I mostly started using it against zoners. Oftentimes a trade works in your favour, since you have more time to convert.

You'd have to use EX Swarm to fish for trades on very specific projectiles where the regular Swarm wouldn't get you a conversion. Tbh, I'd put it more on the side of situational than good, especially since it costs a bar of meter.

Just trying her out (along with half the cast), I'm liking the forums, combos & the help ppl provide.

Anyway, I can't pick SQ as I can't do RC to well although I love the damage, so I'm looking at either of the other 2 variants but I'm stuck as to what 1 has the best overhead\low starter into combos (I play against a guy who likes to block a lot), can any1 help me out with the combos inputs & damage pls?

Much appreciated, cheers.

If you're struggling with RC inputs then Venomous is definitely the variation for you. f22 into Bug Spray vs d4 into Bug Spray all day FTW.

Are you a D'Vorrah main yourself? Do you use Venomous? & have you a big damage combo?

Cheers
50/50s all day. Frankly having to guess right 5 or 6 times in a row to close out a match is pretty shitty.

Venomous should absolutely have a couple solid combos on hand for corner carry and to close out a match. Also you will be suprised at the kind of mental state you can put your opponent in when they have eaten a few too many stinger limbs.

35%-43% practical venomous combos should not be ignored

That's the kind of damage I'm looking for but all I find are combos for SQ (which are quality, both in the actual combo & damage), I've learnt a few SQ combos but I'm not great with the FBC so I'll choose another variation with decent damage.

Have you got a decent BnB you use in Venomous?

Meterless
212 puddle d4 db4
11b2 d1 f34 d4 db4
f34 d1 f34 d4 db4

212 EX puddle f44 f34 d4 db4

The d4 db4 gets you more DoT for a few seconds.

I'd be more then happy to post some of the better venomous combos, I'm at work but I'll list them when I get a chance.

Take note though, some of them are equally tough to execute, just because venomous doesn't have WC'ing doesn't mean they are easier to pull off, frankly besides the timing of b1 WC stuff, some of the combos are equally as tough but more sensitive to juggle timing such as venomous combos that involve tagging the opponent at the last frame of her d2 and going into a run cancel.

Thanks again, those combos into standing vortex will do me.

1 last question & I'll leave you alone. Can she punish Erron Blacks slide with a combo & how does she do it?
Personally I like to go for a 50/50 after(b1 or f2). But if you want a full combo punish then F44 should punish it IIRC.

Guys any tips on performing her B1 WGC?? I'm trying B1 WGC 11B2... and I'm finding it easier but I can't do B1 WGC 212...

Im having the same struggle with all of the cancels, the 1 keeps coming out instead of the 2. The few times I did get it I slid my finger from block to 2 right after the cancel. Pretty sure that is how you should do it.

There's nothing you can really do other than tighten up your WC. The fact that you can do b1 WC 11b2 is a good start though (I was using this for a while till I got comfortable with b1 WC 212).

If you're familiar with Street Fighter terminology, the transition from inputting Blk to 2 is pretty much a plink. The 2 has to follow the block input immediately enough that the run animation doesn't even start. She'll slide forward very slightly then 2 should connect. No idea if this'll help, but with Input History on, here's how my inputs look in training when I do it:

Back
1
Down
Down-Forward
Forward + 1
Forward
Forward
Block
2

As you can see my inputs are clean. I don't use Input Shortcuts but try messing with the control presets to see if you find one setting easier than the other.

Overall though it's just a training mode grind. Ask anyone else here who can do them I'm sure they'd agree.

This is pretty much true.

What I do for the b1 df1 motion is I slide my thumb in a half circle on the dpad. It works great for me because at the speed I do it, by the time the df1 comes out my ff inputs are right on time instead of too late or too early. That way it's a constant smooth motion throughout the combo, which makes the execution a breeze for me.

What also might help is practicing 112 WC combos. You have to cancel the run pretty much as fast as you do with b1.

Which also reminds me, I've seen a lot of D'Vorah matches lately and I rarely ever see people do 112 wc combos. I've heavily implemented them in my game. Its a 7 frame starter that does 36% meterless, is the easiest thing in the world to confirm, and is very very very safe. It punishes so many things and beats out so much stuff in this game, on top of being an amazing tool for getting out of pressure. I wonder why they're not used more.

I was using D'Vorrah last night in a set & found it pretty tough using the venomous variant, I just had no threat until I was up close or within f22 range but getting in close was hard, due to my opponent just sitting waiting on me. Anyway, I then started using SQ & actually hit FBC a lot but a lot of the time f22 came out instead of 212.

Any ideas on how to get the inputs down after FBC?

You are doing an extra forward input

So you are doing f22 df1 ff block F 212. You just have to take out the last F. My best advice is to plink the block button and 2 so there isnt any extra inputs in there.

You're either doing what zoidberg said or holding forward too long.

I have a vid on it on my/my little brothers YT channel(link in profile). It explains one of the parts you're struggling with, but the short version is practice doing df1, run, 2 over and over until you get it down. It builds muscle memory pretty quickly since you're not worried about the inputs before it, but then when you toss it all together its like butter.
