General/Other - Kung Jin "Just want to test myself against you" - Kung Jin Variations and Specials

His Green Arrow variant looks really good. I can see him trying to trade for days. I feel like you're going to be forced to really respect his quiver when it's glowing.

His second variant looks the blandest because it basically just gives him three rekka esque special moves and a slow moving high projectile. I can see this one being the best depending on how good his normals are. If he has good normals but low damage combos (which is what I assume) this one will be great.

His Jade variant is the offense one. It looks like it changes a lot of his strings which will make this variant very different from the others. It seems like it changes him from a mid range character to a close range character with a funky projectile. The meter burn is definitely the highlight of this variant. Checking people with his disc looks fun.

I can see my self playing as this character, I'm just being tough on him because he isn't how I imagined him.

I can already tell people will sleep on him until hes starts bodying everybody. I dont think you guys actually see all of crazy setup potential especially with the chakram because he still has the core moves too. That air fireball actually is godlike for pressure, its something youd op for instead of a combo ender. I dont get the disappointment.

Well boys I'll see my fellow Kung Jin players in April.

I think the differences in his variations seem varied enough to offer him a pretty varied number of playstyles that could probably deal with most match ups.

His projectiles in his Ancestral stance seem quick enough to handle other characters, and the recovery is so fast I could see him giving real trouble to characters without great ways around them. For characters who force you out of your zoning like strong counter zoners/MUs where he gets outzoned the other stances offer different enough playstyles to handle them. He can keep his ranged normals and damage output with Bojutsu for characters who he can outfootsie or opt for Shaolin against characters where the chakram gives him more control. He looks like a really interesting and fun mixture of a couple characters I already enjoy. Honestly I just can't wait to get my hands on Kung Jin when MKX comes out.

If he had a teleport I would declare him my main right now. As it stands he is part of a three way tie. He and takeda are the first characters I've seen where I can picture myself learning and liking all three variations.

I found your videos when looking to watch some Nightwing gameplay years ago. Now you just got me pumped to see what you can do with Kung Jin!

he talks isht to Cassie in the trailer, seems like a jerk, and stole the Flying Grayson.

You and I are gonna have a problem here
I'm gonna give you the business in the mirror again before you switch to Mileena

He looks cool, but instead of the disco variation, I feel they should've expanded on the head of his staff, like Jaken, from Inuyasha

Yeah, the fireball is 100% anticipating and 0% reaction. It just seems too slow of start-up to input on reaction and the cool-down is pretty slow...if you guess wrong, you get full combo punished from what I see.
Hardknockdown, throw it out, & approach. That fireball looks damn good.

Yeah it could be used to constrict the opponent from crossing up but in the way 16Bit said it would be harder. You have a better chance to anti-air arrow on reaction. But yeah I see what you mean

who ever designed this dude deserves a nice fucking bonus.
Everything GA should had been and so much fucking more.
Love the first two variations.
Maining him no questions asked.
Kung Jin is life
Takeda is pretty wack except for lasher

I liked Takeda's reach but you lose plenty of speed. Kung Jin has nearly the same reach with much better speed and hella zoning options. Takeda is 90% hype.

You picked a bad time to get lost friend
Kung Jin looks nice, as a GA Main I can appreciate him.

Never thought I'd ever have a character crisis on MK, Mileena's always been there but damn wouldn't mind playing something similar to GA again.
