Skarlet doesn't age fool, she is a character created by magic. And she is fairly new as any other character from MKX
In this new time line she is,older than mileenq and possibly ermac, as you can see her as cameo during the story if you have good eyes.

The entire game isn't 25 years in the future. EB says it begins shortly after MK9 and at one point in the story you're 25 years in the future.

Skarlet HAS to be in. In fact, all MK9 DLC besides Freddy needs to be in MKX because they weren't part of the story. Because otherwise, in Skarlet's case, it'd be as if she was just a guest character.

SF3 characters were pretty cool. Alex and Oro are awesome. And MKD had a lot of new characters too and a lot (not all) were pretty cool like Ashrah, Shujinko and Havik

Her story happens behind the main story, she was ordered to observe quan chi without interfering withinn the tournament, that is why u see her around here and there between cut scenes.

Her ending wasn't accuratte but, closely matches the original mk9 ending, pretty damn close.

Agreed, but it was still a commercial failure outside of Japan, the largely unfamiliar roster being one of the reasons. Deception had enough familiar faces to make up for it.
