"Must I remind you of my superiority?" - Lex Luthor General Discussion (Version 1.06)

In other news, I've had the fortunate success of beating BushGold, the #1 player on the IGAU Player-Match leaderboards (& who also happens to be within the top 4 for both the King of the Hill & Survivor leaderboards as well). I didn't just beat him once however, but rather 4x in a row - needless to say, he now knows why he should fear Lex Luthor. ;)

Idk if this was known yet I searched everywhere but couldn't find it anyway
; apparently of you push block Lex it will nullify his shield! At first I thought this was huge hit to Lex but after experimenting with it a lil bit I found out lex shield gets taken away but lex is never pushed back so he can still punish the opponent while their still recovering for example if you do 112 w/ lex if they pushblock the first hits the 2 will still hit them same thing with 22d1.havent tried b12 yet.

I'll be surprised if this is actually new but it seems the only time you should use this is when Lex is doing ji3 or d3 and single hitting normal that puts Lex at a distance so he can't punish you but he might be Able to corpcharge after again I didn't test this extensively but I know you guys will do a better job a I dropped Lex about a week ago appreciate any feedback please reply:)
Yes this is an awesome Lex feature and dropping him was stupid, he has more potential than any of the cast.

So I'm not sure if this was discussed before but does anyone know anything about Lex's random super reset? As in where you hit them with super in a juggle when they're kinda lower to the ground and the hits reset. I thought it was a problem with the AI in auto block but I switched it to "always" mid-combo and it still reset.
Timing is strict, I practiced a fair bit, I use the combo 112/b13/f2 vacuum b3 ji3 super, I even did it a couple times online, I assume they can't be having anymore increased gravity off the b3 than default though

Lex has a super?

Me and Chef were testing this and it's legit. You can get it pretty consistently in corner combos and some midscreen stuff, so you can get like 20-30% into an unscaled super haha. I want to see how much I can get.

lex super is unscaled?

Yeah, if you're at a point in a juggle where there's a certain amount of gravity and hit them at a certain height, the opponent will be forced standing and the hits will reset. So it can add like 15% or so more than what it would be.

The what?

Background bounce into close mine. I have to delay it slightly to hit you out of your wakeup which is a problem and it becomes more like blocking DD earthshake. But that's literally your only option against it, other than trying to block it, which is bad for Raven specifically because of her wakeups.

With the right setup, if Lex bounces Raven off of the background & into a mine, it can create an infinite combo until she dies.

Well after playing around with it more it's less like an infinite and moreso a guessing game that's in Lex's favor like I stated above. It might actually be better to get a free 50/50 if you think she's going to wakeup and she doesn't. But yeah Raven has to be really risky.

You should show me like tomorrow or something.

How is raven more susceptible than any other character with a single-hit wakeup?

It's not that it's single hitting, it's that you can hit her out of all of her wakeups. So it puts an already really good situation more in your favor with what you can do.

Oh word. I knew she had bad wakeup options but I didn't know she could be stuffed out of them too. I'll approach that matchup a bit differently now

Zod's similar to Raven - he has very few options to get out of Lex's gravity mine traps, especially with trait activated.

I need to fight a quality, Lex Luthor loyalist on PSN. My tag is NRF Rude.

I had a regular Lex training partner, but he went on to greener pastures and other stuff he liked better than fighting games.
