d3 and b13, also reverse in the corner. Even if they roll after mb venom it can reverse wakeups?

Hey guys I have a bad habit with DD , I use too much venom on a point blank range ...
Any tips ? Also I have trouble fighting characters with parries :(

Venom's purpose is to close the distance and get in. Once your in you have way to many safe normals at your disposal to take the risk and get venom punished. You have d+1, d+3, b+1,3, 1,1,2 etc into earth shaker or whatever it is.

What are you finding so difficult about characters with parries?

yes I know and I was thinking about mb venom not regular one but still I feel like I use it too much and at wrong times , I often get mb b3'd .
As for characters with parries. lets say I fight good batman or zod or joker or kf . They zone me , and read when I do MB venom to get it and parry it. When I was fighting m2daves zod or qwarks Joker they did it all the time .

noone reads venom, venom is punishable on reaction, you need to be able to get in by yourself and not just rely on one move

Maybe its cuz Ive always played as zoners and Im not used to get in on ppl :D I was always the one that keeps them out :p

Well you just need to mix it up. People must respect MB venom since now especially I think it has 2 hits of armour. That allows you to dash in for free and Doomsday has a great forward dash. By mixing it up, your opponent will be less hesitant to do MB b+3. Once they throw it out less often, you then can MB venom more. You just need to know when it's right/wrong there's no 'rule-book' designated to answering that question.

As for the parries, I guess you have to be a little more patient. Perhaps do MB venom at a closer range so they cannot react to it, but from further distances, block and dash slowly until you get into a range where the opponent cannot react to what you throw out. Try baiting parries as well and punishing. Soon they'll hesitate to throw them out.

With both your queries it is about establishing a mind-game with the opponent. Hope this helps somewhat.

So, DB3(MB) as a cross-up, should I be using it? and when/how. (couldn't find anything about it)
Because if it crosses up it can be followed into a pretty nice combo :)

I truly believe that the cross up portion of MB Upward Venom should be completely removed from all current DD gameplay. The cross up itself can be blocked by simply holding down. This is because the 2nd hit of MB Upward Venom is considered Mid which of course we all know can be blocked by holding down. If the move is blocked entirely the opponenthas enough time to do a full combo punish =}:(

Meter in DD game should be used for MB Shoulder and MB Earth Shake for full corner combos

I'm so bad against zoning online, every time I get frustrated I pick Doomsday, he's such a cheap character lol :D

Ha ! Thanks for that Nevan I appreciate that. For DD Frame Traps there's really nothing much except for D1 after 123 string. you can mixup D1 ES, D1 Throw, D1 Delayed ES

There is also a throw frame trap that I've been using is B1 to Throw

Do you find MB ES to be any real good in a match cause its slow? sometimes i use it when people are waiting for the overhead on ES but then I'm just an online player.

Not really, the timing to fuzzy guard ES and MB ES is pretty much the same. The only use I find for MB ES is for my corner combo. j.d3 123, 3 MB ES, 23d1, Supernova

You can replace Supernova w/ Trait for a safe trait setup

Aye, I've spent my free time at work and read most of DD recent threads and posts. Was able to take notes and checked those frametraps hehe

Out of curiosity why dont any DD players (that ive seen) use his 22 1+2, and mix it up with 22 ES,? seems like a decent mix up and you could also do 2 ES, and on hit confirm 22 MBES into combo?

What am i missing?

Ahh, however that mixup, if you can call it dat, it's better used to put the opponent in the corner. Cause if I'm not mistaken, after a sucessful 22 1+2 you recover at the same time as the op and won't 'gain' much from it.

This imo, of course.

But let's use the following scenario: (op in the corner) after a d1 xx ES > cross up with jd3 - using 22 1+2 to put them back into the corner is a bad ideia?
