I'm gonna make this skill gap... disappear.
Well, while our buffs are useful, I think most of what will change matchups are nerfs to other characters. For example, Batman's trait nerf means we can actually move forward while being zoned, which will make the matchup considerably better.
I wouldn't get too excited batman's trait change. While it seems like it will make the trait worse, it will also function to space the bats out more and may actually help with bat management more than function like a nerf. We'll see in the coming days.

Damn... hadn't thought of that. Ugh... Well, I'm going to really hope I can move against him after the patch.

I have a friend that has been all over the batman forums and the general concensus is that the "nerf" to Batman's trait will actually benefit batman. He was saying that batman will have better timing with the bats.

hey guys just thought of something about using trait against green lantern. most of you may already know you can parry his b1,2 string but you can also parry the b1,3 when hes very close and the timing is strict. so if he does d1 then does b1,3 theres a small window to parry the 3. if he does b1,3 at max range and you try to parry you get launched. so my point here is do you guys think well be able to parry this combo after the patch if so this will change the GL matchup up close.

Yeah the same is true of batman and all the other parry characters, but it's a bit easier for them because they can activate parry as a reversal whereas we have to straight up time it perfectly because mashing doesn't cut it :(. Really wish they would just make Joker's parry at least function like the others- usable as a reversal / wakeup and have an appreciable amount of active frames. Good tip though man.

lol its the only tip i got. you guys are pretty much on top of things in the joker forums. ive been watchin from the shadows for a while. felt like it was time to join the joker main club.

Always good to have more people contributing. I think we're breaking into some decent stuff with him lately, and the crowbar buff will help, especially if the MB version leads to a solid trap. Combine that with indirect buffs from other people getting nerfed, and things are lookin up:joker:

guys. we dont have unblockables and we dont have any teeth and mb f3 setups that cant be jumped out of.

i just went into practice mode and did the 213 setup, the timing so that MB F3 isnt jumpable allows you to easily block the mixup and if you do it late enough so that both hit then can jump.

so we got no resets, nothing. SHIT.

edit: 213 ender teeth very small break into mb f3 is an earth shake window to block.

basically im testing just how truly "unblockable" these setups are

J2/3 on the other hand works well but its hit by wakeups

d2 into teeth can not be tech roll jumped out of nor blocked easily, its humanly unblockable. awesome

the universal mb f3/teeth timing should be throw teeth out, wait barely half a second and f3

24% damage, looking for more.

I've been sold for awhile now that Joker needs to be doing his longest wall carry combos to push opponent's into the corner, where Joker is at his strongest. The opponent's options will be extremely limited, wake up or block.

Teleport characters will naturally be harder to corner, but they have workable solutions.

Characters with fixed teleports can be punished with setups and Characters with opponents position dependent teleports (Is there a shorter way to say this?) can be punished on a read.

For example vs. Shazam, doing 212 xx Close Teeth, Forward Dash. Puts you close enough to get a f3/crowbar/jump in. The Close Teeth will be behind you so if they decide to wake up forward teleport or torpedo, bam ... free b3 wall combo. If they didn't? Then they back dashed/back teleported further into the corner or blocked.

Except if they decide to cancel into uppercut you're screwed if you jump.
Is the parry fast enough that they can't just cancel and punish you on the ground anyway? I figured the recovery vs air time was about the same. And they can't cancel trait grabs, just WCC.

Looks like MB Crowbar now has as much if not more KD time than the super hard KD we get off a high 213 connecting. Teeth setups aren't guaranteed, but they are damn close. That's gonna be big. Stupid that they are trying to say we have a 50/50 now though... on block, both crowbar and RLG are punishable. It's great that we can use flower to cancel out safely when they block (and now it's consistent) but that means we don't have a 50/50 at all... lol. But we CAN hit confirm a crowbar into a setup now, which is awesome. Looks guaranteed in the corner and pretty close to it mid screen. Still gotta work to get to sweep range, but once we're there, we have some options now =).

Flower will be pretty sweet. I do like the fact that after crowbar ther is time to dash and jump in, maybe the strategy will be crowbar dash j2 32 flower. Hell, what do I know? I got bodied 0-17 tonight. Damn you gta 5 for distracting my igau attention.

It's not suped to be a 50/50 but at least we have options off of a hitconfirm for more setups. I'm gonna be all over this tonight and tomorrow.

Although not for long, returning home at 8 in the afternoon + got to go to the gym. How my time gets spent so easily in college I'll never know.
