I expected a thread like this, you know, the standard "let's complain about the new DLC character" thread... but I must say, I did not expect it to come on the very first day of Zatanna's release. And it's not even at the end of the day, it's just now the afternoon, lol.

Thats because every character that theyve released since lobo has been broken in some way. Its like they stopped trying to balance the characters with the whole cast in mind. Now they spit out characters that can compete with top tier, but shit all over some of the lower tier.

I'm sorry, but that's really, really bad advice. She can stuff a jump easily, and you won't be just taking chip, you'll be eating the full damage of the attack, and taking a knockdown.

MMH is not broken though.

I know that, she wont absorb all the projectiles you throw out. Also if you trade with her, she loses her Trait.

@AK: That's true, MMH was perfectly fine on release day, there's absolutely no issues with him that I'm aware of, he's a very balanced character! A good moveset, can hold his own with almost anyone in the cast, but can also be punished heavily by a lot of characters too... no need to nerf him that I know of...

He isnt broken glitch wise, but some of his tools are questionably strong. An teleporting overhead thats -8 with pushback. Trait 3. He just seems to have way more good varied tools than original chatacters.

This statement alone proves you know nothing about the character or how he is played at a high level.

Okay, I'll give you the teleporting overhead... it should either do less chip damage, or have no push back, the same as his low teleport. Aside from that, he's fine though. lol

Also, if she puts a slow fireball in front of her, lobo can't dash in on her, or jump in on her. He basically has to wait till it's over and eat chip damage while she get's free meter.

Hey the complaints may be warranted, I haven't downloaded her yet. But still, not even 24 hours has gone by and already complaint threads are up, has to be a record!

her combos are great but to me she feels slow and restrictive if anything. maybe its because im use to playing ga aquaman and mmh so :shrugs:

Lobo has wake up Hook Charge and MB Hook charge to plow through her Magic Shots. He has his Air d3 and he has his Low Hook charge. He has ways to stop her.

Oh I agree I never truly though it was that bad, his sword flip gives me more issues than his zoning, but I was just sayin I think that is why he just known from day one as that carzy zoning character.

Zatanna is fine. I intend on buying her. Every character I use should be buffed, and others should be nerfed. If I wasn't going to buy her, I'd call for nerfs as well. Aren't we all just fine folk here in TYM?


Guys it's NOT EVEN the first full day yet. Just get off your netherrealm and go into the lab. I'm not saying she's fine, I'm not saying she isn't. I don't have her, and it's day...freaking...one. People said MMH was unquestionably broken. You know what? Till this day I don't think I've faced one that has beaten me...and I've faced a bunch. This alone tells you that it's going to take time to make accurate deductions, because say he WAS unquestionably broken. I play a helluva lot of Injustice and haven't faced a MMH that would make me feel that way (again, I don't have him myself). NRS was VEEEERY smart saying they want to let the game marinate and evolve, because I DO know they know of TYM, and they DO know how you guys get when DLC comes out. If they listened to the feedback of this community alone as opposed to others and their own internal testing this game would be a horrible, sad place to spend time playing.

I don't even know if MMH is as ZOMG broken as some people (I'm looking at you Jailhouse) have stated on day one. Reo said the character rekindled a flame and uses him. He used him in a tournament recently. However he was also being kept in check by a Lex player in the recent media. Wait a minute...isn't Lex the worst character in this game?!?!

Why do I even bother getting involved in these things....

I'd say only a minority of online players are high/tournament level, so for the vast majority of players, his zoning would appear insane and unfair. I'm not saying it is, just that's the reason why a lot of people had issues with it...

Thats true too, most online players aren't trying to take their game to next level and are just goofing around and having lil fun with the game.

Deathstrokes zoning was insane. Sure some characters could get around it, but others had a stupidly difficult time.

Deathstroke would be top 3 if he hadnt been nerfed. People off just never bothered to explore his other tools back when his zoning was so dumb. He's better than half the cast as he is now.
