And while we're talking about weird combos.......


B1~trait, Flight 2 MC MB~trait, 1 MC 33% combo.

It's like the weirdest looking combo. When you do B1~trait Flight 2 MC MB as fast as you can, the MB part of the MC MB will whiff. But if you trait it, you'll fall down in Flight. Mash 1 after you press trait after the MC MB and then combo the 1 into MC.

Wow very nice :confused: so weird too.. But did you test it with big hitbox characters too? Maybe it whiffed because of the low hitbox

I thought it was a hard knockdown too..haha :oops:.

Maybe it's a hard knockdown outside of combos, but not in them? I dunno just speculation.
Yeah, Idk...go test it. I put the opponent on "roll" and even outside of combos they tech roll after a D3. Like they will slide on the ground...but at the end of the slide they roll away. I tried it with Frost's U3 and Catwoman's 1F2 (two confirmed hard knock downs) and the computer just stands up...no roll. Ugh...lol

Ok...so I was under the impression that D3 (heavenly stomp) was a hard knock down...? Someone posted a comment on my youtube mentioning that it wasn't...and sure enough I just tested it throughout a variety of combos with the computer set to roll...and they rolled....confusion.

WTH? They're rolling out of mine too. Out of every divekick. Doesn't matter if it's in a combo or out of a combo. Since when the fuck was this allowed. This shit used to never happen before. You couldn't roll out of it at all.

EDIT* I just tested it try to make HG dive kick me and see if I could roll. I rolled.

For dive kick he rolls in both a combo and naked too so that's not a hard knockdown and we're consistent haha.



I also tested down 3 and the dummy just stands up straight after down 3 so that's a hard knockdown.

Edit: Well at least we all got the same results, but I don't remember that being the case before either like Tiger Wong was saying :(.

Ok...time to cut the shit and we become a loud community. We need to address this issue and tag the NRS guys on this site AS WELL as our requested buffs. We need to decide what we want to mention to them...because they do listen.
1.) I want B3 to be sped up...it doesn't seem natural to be so slow and it rarely connects after 123...
2.) Do we want to ask for the Air Flight block move?
3.) I want her Mace Charge to be 0 on block....ESPECIALLY if they took this HKD away from us on purpose.

I will make a thread in the morning as soon as we decide, as a community, for what to request/demand. :)

* B3 MUST be faster! That shit is not normal, her MBB3 on reaction is kinda uselles inother mentions...
* That air block... I like the idea, but i doubt NRS will make that happen
* Mace Charge 0 on block OR make HKD a hard knock down (maybe both would be great)
* AND i would like her F3 to be a crossup like Wonder Woman's or Flash's in the corner, maybe a bit faster... I would prefer that instead of the air block... That + HKD being a hard knockdown would give us great things in the corner.

Yeah...no way in hell is her B3 *appropriate*...even though it does RARELY connect after 123...it feels forced and almost accidental that it even connects. Sometimes I worry that we don't address these issues enough because it could very well in fact be a minor mistake on their end...but have no idea because no one is bitching about HawkGirl. True story that corroborates my narrative here, in MK9, Sindel was able to connect her Yell after a B3,F2...but it was very inconsistent and did not feel natural. JUST LIKE HG'S B3...and then they patched it so it would connect effortlessly...the way it was originally intended...my gut instincts tell me this is the exact same situation.

Also, have you ever anticipated a Jump in from the opponent and MB'd your B3 on reaction to counter them...well I've done it several times and due the SLOW ASS speed of B3, several characters in the game can complete the jump in and start attacking, THUS taking away the armor of the MB'd B3, THUS stuffing my attempt that would normally work with every and any other character's MB'd B3.

If this was done intentionally I must admit that I am very upset. The nerf to her Mace Charge really ruffled my feathers but I took it with grace and moved on...but now, ANOTHER NERF (if it is in fact an intentional nerf) I just don't know what to think...HawkGirl is the last character that needs to be "normalized"...a character that has to literally work for virtually everything and one mistimed mace toss=disaster. Ugh..

Yup...no I remember Boodendorf announcing that he was intending on ending all of his combos with D3 for the sole purpose of the "hard knock down". Which is very smart. Which is why I included so many of the D3 "HKD" combos in part 1 of my punishment guide. If it weren't for that person on YouTube telling me this I would have never known...and after Tiger mentioning that D3 was always a HKD, it makes me think this is a "stealth nerf".

I told you guys that Jon Berg person was a spy who demanded nerfs for HG!!!!! lol

OMG yes! Maybe they haven't fixed her B3 because nobody has tried har for it to be know to NRS! But it's now or mever! We deserve a better B3 lol! And i hope that with a better B3 we can actually connect B3 after 1,2~WE(2) etc... That would open her combo options way more...

And LOL yes! I have tried to MB B3 a lot of moves that actually are defeated by other B3's but know what? It doesn't work woth Hg's B3 -_- ught.

And they need to give us a Mace Charge that is 0 on block, or at least make her HKD a hard knockdown.

But we need to start the complaining NOW! Since a "big patch" is coming, i wouldn't like to wait until another one

Also, regarding her F3, the speed is fine, it's the range that is so odd/deceptive. Have you guys ever noticed that it looks like she is extending far out in front of her, but the F3 actually comes back and it hits them relatively close to her actual body....it's weird.

Her dive kick being a HKD and F3 working as a crossup on the corner would be a great option to her corner game! After Dive kick... Forward dash, f3 and they got hit on the other side <3

Okay...I'm too tired right now and too riled at the moment to make the thread...after I get my Starbucks in the morning I will make a thread and tag the NRS fella's and list what we want and why. I want all of your guys input on what I should mention. The speed of B3, the consistency of connecting B3 after 123, and now this "no longer" HKD, will be my key talking points.

Sorry if I seem like a spoiled brat or a Diva/drama queen but I will not sit idly by and watch this character be ignored/neglected. We have legit concerns and very minor requests that would "normalize" this fabulous character. ESPECIALLY when her bad MU's are REALLY BAD...and now with MMH and characters that seemingly have it all, I don't think it's much to ask for her old mace charge back, her old hard knock down back, as well as a minor tweak to her B3.

This must not be a problem for NRS! And we are not asking for OP buffs lol, just normalizations ;)
