b3 just doesnt seem unreliable to me at this point :confused:. Dunno. Dont have to mash it either. 123 combos seem to be the easiest road to the highest damage on punishes like sword flip and zod charge.
I'm glad you are nailing it..however it is widely accepted that the timing is precise and certainly unreliable. Online/offline, just like Boodendorf said, it is rather easy to drop.
 
Rather noob question, but looking at HG as a secondary. Is there a general list of bnbs that are mostly used? or starter ones. Really like the character, and would love to second her next to Bane.
I've looked through but more then likely missed if ones been done.

Her best starters at midscreen are
1,2,3
1,1,2
3,2
F1,1
2,2

From B2,3 (overhead) this is a very usefull move... But sadly cant connect so much so you can go for...
B2,3 D1~Mace Charge
B2,3 D2~Mace Charge
B2,3 B1~Wing Evade 3(whiff) F1,3~Mace Charge

From B2,2 (low) is also usefull but either connects so much

B2,2~Trait 2~Mace Charge (you can be very close to connect that

also a very practical combo is 1,2~Wing Evade~2 (overhead)

1,2~Wing Evade 2 1,2,3 Ji2~Mace Charge
1,2~Wing Evade 2 1,2,4 Ji2~Trait~1~Mace Charge
1,2~Wing Evade 2 1,2,3 Ji2~Trait~1,3 (The last hit is unclashable and puts ypur opponent at full screen)

In corner all her string are usefull and you can create godlike mixups
 
Wow, awesome thanks for the quick reply. When I first picked this game up I debated between Bane and Hawkgirl, but my love of command grabs won over haha. watched some of the videos and great gameplay, the HG forum should make this an easier transition.

The Hawkgirl forums only have a few people now because almost everyone dropped her because of shit that was told about her! But the ones that are in here are great Hawkgirl players... I'm sure that anybpdy will help you
 
Yep always seem to pick the odd ones. Hakan is Street fighter, and bane and HG now haha. I can deal with that. It's so early everything is still being found out. I main Bane and in a weekend he goes from bottom 3 to main apparently haha, so all in time : P

And it will keep changing the next 2 months imo lol! Or maybe years... In a few months you will se Hawkgirl in the top as well

you guys probably already know this but she has an air combo that she can end ground combos with...

for example...

123,4,1,2,3

there is a slight delay in the last couple of inputs but you have to hit 1 as soon as you leave the ground... i thought it was pretty cool.

After 12~WE2~123 you can jump 2~Mace Charge or Jump 2~4~1~Mace Charge
Also in corner the best starters are... B2,3 and full combo Or B2,2~WE2 and the same combo...
You can also continue a combo after MB Mace Charge at the corner for example...

b2,2~WE2 B1~WE3 B1~WE3 F1,3~Mace Charge MB~4~1,3

Or if you use it at the beggining

3,2~Mace Charge MB f1,3 F1,3 F1,3 etc...

^^ The trick to getting the oki ADM is to delay the WE(2) so you are slightly further away when you do the 123.

f1~MB Forward Mace Toss~u, 123~j2~MC - 37%

What do you guys do in the right corner for the WE3 loop where you get crossed up sometimes?

I have found this to be the most reliable:

f11~WE(2), b1~WE(3), b1, 123, f13~WE(3) - 40%

My left corner combo punish of choice:

f11~WE(2), b1~WE(3), b1~WE(3), f13, f13~WE(3) - 44%
f11~FMT~MBu, b1~WE(3), b1~WE(3), f13, f13~WE(3) - 50%

Corner off of a f3:

(left side) f3, 3~WE(3), b1~WE(3), f13, f13~WE(3) - 45%
(left side) f3, b1~WE(3), b1~WE(3), f13, f13~WE(3) - 45%

(right side) f3, 3~WE(3), f13, f13, f13~WE(3) - 42%
(right side) f3, b1~WE(3), b1, 123, f13~WE(3) - 36%

it seems like the ADM punishes most wakeup attempts, but it doesnt prevent them and there are several that will end up punishing you. batgirl teleport is an obvious example, wonder woman's lasso spin also beats it unless you delay the mace throw significantly

I figured it would be matchup specific, like superman's air grab wakeup.

It works perfectly on Killer Frost. It whiffs on wakeup slide but you get a free dive kick punish. It beats her daggers clean.

A good setup is to end the combo with 123~j2~4, 2 then fly down and if she slides, punish with either 2~MC for 19%/27% MB or 2~4 super for 41% ^_^

yea she is nasty for frost to deal with lol. i didnt really think of hitting the up shoulder mace toss off f1 before, too bad it only does 3% more max damage then the simpler f1,1~4, 1, 2 ~ MC (MB). it does let you go into the mace throw setup though

Yeah, f11~4 is a lot easier to do and hit confirm and you don't use the meter until the end which is nice.

I just tested the flight combo setup against WW wakeup uppercut/SM wakeup air grab and you can make it whiff and punish with 12~MC ^_^

Wait, 4,3 is unclashable? Is this confirmed? Means a lot for me as it can add 10% to any hit at the end of a match when i don't want the opponent to clash.
