If you are within a dash distance away you can jump all heat visions. Zap->laser can be dashed, I have tested it many times. Dont wait until the heat zap has fully recovered, you can just dash it when you see the heat zap start. You wont get hit out of the air until you are within a dash range, and then he can't heat zap anymore and you can force heat vision to whiff by jumping back.Not entirely true.
Only fullscreen you're able to dodge with certainty his zaps and lasers, as you move closer one misstimed jump or dash means you're back to fullscreen and have to work your way in again. You can crouch dash consecutive zaps, but not zap -> laser since you'll get hit on your dash recovery frames. Then, if you read wrong he will do a ground laser and he decides to do an air laser instead, chances are you'll get hit out of air.
Like it has been said already, the riskeward ratio favors Superman a great deal. If you react or read correctly you dodge or block, if Superman does he does a full combo punish or puts you back in the same situation. The only time you get to punish Superman is if you read 2 consecutive zaps or Superman foolishly does air lasers at the top of his jump.
The risk reward does not favor him with his zoning. The only thing his zoning is good for is meter building. If he messes up you can punish him(character dependent).
Superman is #1 because of his dominant corner game and corner carry, along with great pressure. His zoning is sub-par and is just used to build meter. If you can't get past his zoning you are making the MU very very hard on yourself.
