All right. What the fuck is everyone's obsession with Tremor all of a sudden?

Did any of you play MK: Special Forces?

Can anyone PLEASE tell me something of substance about his character? Background? Personality?

Because if he's just a ninja with dirt/stone powers...I don't get it.

Jax makes the ground shake, already. Turning people to stone and freezing them aren't a whole lot different from one another.

So...why do people care about the poop colored ninja?

What about Tremor due to the petition? Also if Rain's character model is in the game, it might be that he could be dlc if not in the final roster Cause it would a shame to waste a character model.

He's probably not even in the top 10 of easily identifiable MK characters.

Shao Kahn, Goro, Raiden, Jax, Johnny Cage, Shang Tsung, Sub Zero, Scorpion, Lui Kang, and Kano are all more easily identified with MK.
Not to mention the Robot Ninjas and Sindel.

So you're telling me if you were to go around with pictures of Shang Tsung, Shao Kahn, Sektor/Cyrax, and Sindel, you think more people would identify them than Baraka?



As for the rest of your list, Baraka is in there with them and after Subzero, Scorpion, and Reptile, amongst casuals he'd be recognized as well as the rest of them.

Look at all the things that Agonos can do with rocks powers. set up walls, rock projectiles that scatter into shotgun like blasts, nothing like that is in an MK game. There is a LOT of potential, and that's why he is exciting. Plus his animations would look like sex in comparison to Jax punching the ground.

Why? Why would it look like, "Sex?" A guy punches the ground and it shakes. Maybe some dirt shoots up as he does it. Why is that better? It's the same thing.

You know, Sub Zero's freeze had a "scatter" animation in previous MK games.

I'm sorry, but you haven't convinced me that these "Earth Powers" are so impressive that the apparent demand for Tremor would have us believe.

He's a D grade boss in an F grade MK spin-off game. You know, I'm pretty sure they had a rock monster in Sub-Zero: Mythologies. Maybe we should include him, too?

What about havik? I think he would be an interesting fit. Or movado (sry if spelled incorrectly) the guy who took Kabals weapons and took over the black dragon clan. Well I wanna see more "new" faces. The older characters are great but this game is bringing the "new generation" vibe out hard. So I'd like it to stay on that path.

I see why some are acting like Cage + Sonya is a redundant thing but let's think this through. I understand it's due to Cassie being there but acting like having Cage AND Sonya is overkill is pretty odd considering they are nothing alike other than the fact that they finally hooked up and fucked. They've been in the same game multiple times before and that was never a problem. As far as Cassie goes, other than one of her strings ending with a shadow kick (which is irrelevant and is just there as a tribute to her dad) and having a nut-punch what's the big deal? She seems like she plays nothing like Cage. We haven't seen Sonya yet but I'm pretty sure she'll be different because NRS are not dumb. Did you guys think Jade + Mileena + Kitana was overkill? I mean you had Kitana, her sister, and her best friend. And they looked kinda similar too! I really don't see the big deal about this. Was Sektor + Cyrax + Cyber Sub redundant? Or is it OK as long as they're not family?

Plus, we haven't played the story yet, and there's a pretty good chance this was needed. This whole idea stems from initially everyone assuming that Cassie will just be a Cage/Sonya hybrid and thus there would be no need for Cage and Sonya.

I think popularity is only half the battle. Baraka's fan base is pretty far up there but as far as characters that people want to pay to Play rather than just see make the roster trumps popularity in my opinion. The popularity is gonna play a bigger part with the DLC Guest characters.

Baraka is a character that is synonymous with MK, a definite classic, easily identifiable, popular amongst casuals, and well known.

Why not, every DLC season pass needs a badass looking dude to rock bottom tier like Lobo did ;)

In all seriousness though if they did Baraka as DLC I'd buy. Why? Because he's a badass looking dude and he's a big name I know.
