at -4 from KF's slide I backdash all the time. My guess is that it would still avoid pokes if timed correctly since they have invincibility frames, right?

i forgot about the invinicibility frames! yeah you can back dash when your -4 or 5 and whiff punish accordingly.

No, I got your point the first time. However, these things happen and we need to accept them because sometimes..there isn't time/budget/manpower needed to fix these things. It's a cultural difference, I suppose. Also, you have to realize that they have to make every character different, and there is only a finite number of ways to do this. Some characters will be bad.

That's just something to accept. The buff/nerf culture we have now is born out of a lack of understanding of what goes into making a game, and out of a sense of entitlement and instant gratification.

Also, DLC characters are optional. You do not have to buy them. Ask around, there are ways you can learn match-ups if you're the heavy tournament player(who are the minority of the millions of people who bought the game) without buying the character. Not long ago, Mr. Mileena revealed details as to how to do this.

crouchblock high or lowshots, dash in, rinse and repeat. Make sure you block high on the last hit of MB machine gun, its an overhead. Watch out for swordflip on wakeup or in general. Its super punishable on block so find the best punisher with your character in training mode. Thats about all the advice I can give you.

I ain't that great either, pretty sure the only reason I was winning was because I was using a character with almost fullscreen grabs and easy 45% combos. I'm not really happy with my Swaquaman either but he feels more natural to me than Raven does.

no but I'd suggest getting really good with your main first. I had thoughts that I was gonna main Black Adam from the beginning and I played him and loved him but after learning other characters they were so much easier to use then him so I ended up leaning towards them. Wish I didn't learn so many characters this early. :/

Nah, I'm having the same problem. Don't try to learn too many at once, though.
