That is a character issue for Takeda that is exploited by a lot more characters than the Champion of Earth Realm. I guess we found out why blockbreakers were created.

I do have to give props to Dave for effectively using Tom Brady as a hidey account.

Seriously, there seems to be some kind of agenda to nerf this character down to the ground just because liu kangs playstyle doesnt fit his criteria of what should and shouldn't be in a fighting game.

So would this kinda imply that Liu Kang could be a "COUNTER PICK" choice just like oh I don't know maybe Sub Zero vs Kotal? or Maybe Quan Chi vs (you pick). How many characters can just low profile the first hit of F+2,1,3? Can the string loops even jail if you just go for the low profile in between reps? B+1,2 can beat the low profile in between reps but THAT IS WHERE THE GUESS IS. Oh NO'S THE MB FLYING KICK :/ still cost's meter. Hey I just remembered does QUAN CHI and his 6Frame d+1 even have a problem with this? IF THIS IS SO BAD I WANT TO WATCH SOMEONE WIN A TOURNAMENT WITH IT, and not some 10 person Budweiser backwoods local some real shit.

make his dragon fire fireball not useless aside from run cancels
better recovery on his fireballs
better air normals
faster d1
db2 doesn't get low profiled
overhead is safer on block
better hitbox on d2

That move is the move from Enter the dragon. I like the knock down and I feel it should be faster like in Enter the dragon Bruce Lee used it to beat his opponent to the punch every time so it should be fast.If they nerf his pressure, then he should get the 50/50 thing and anti airs. However I feel that the pressure play style should not be compromised for people who do not like it.

seriously, block/pressure strings is one of my most favorite things about MKX.

I haven't seen any fighter in the last decade that came close to the amount of elaborate chip damage pressure that this game offers. The last fighter that had this type of pressure was strider/doom in mvc2.

This game has a good variety of game play. Theres 50/50s and vortex characters, theres chip pressure and some zoning. Zoning could use a buff, we don't need any more 50/50 characters and characters that relies on chip pressure are fine. Grapplers though, need all the help they can get.

If you want to know weather Kang is better than any other character, just ask those characters' specialists if they'd swap to Liu. I bet MIT won't swap for Tanya, King for Predator, Foxy for Lao etc. Even michaelangelo wouldn't, even though he's maining a mid tier character

Anyway, on topic - I don't think the comparisons to Scorpion are fair, and we don't just need a blanket "no loopable pressure" rule. LK is a very different character, one who relies on the pressure, Scorpion has a lot of other things going for him, restands, TP, 50/50, etc, and his pressure is still strong it just has a guessing game. LK on the other hand is built around it, and his other two variations trade it off for different styles of pressure bonuses. I think it needs to stay.

HOWEVER, I don't think block infinites like this need to stay and I don't understand why anyone would argue otherwise except for one of two reasons, they are either LK mains, or trying to be edgy and rag on TB like what happens every thread he makes.

I think what we should be focusing on is finding a way to remove this, without nerfing the rest of the character, and without senselessly buffing certain other characters by giving them faster pokes

Feels like MK9 all over again nobody in the U.S. Is dong as successful with Kang but in the EU there is atleast always a Kang top 3 and rarely the. same person

I can't see how LK as a whole is anything less than A+ I personally believe he's better than Kotal, Kitana and Takada tier wise

Btw Cyrax never won a Major till the very last Major knowing as Evo 2 years into the games life cycle(The end of it) Not saying LK is anywhere as broken as Cyrax,but just using a real life example that because he has not won a major YET doesn't mean he's mid tier

That is all their is to take from your post, because even if we pretend you're not paranoid and there is in fact a M2Dave agenda, then there still would be nothing stopping you from playing the character, objectively speaking. You're equating a potential nerf with your character becoming literally unplayable.

I pointed out in the thread that its block infinite (meaning they have to take a hit) against 4 characters without meter, and Shirai Ryu Takeda if he has less than 3 meters (X-Ray is only escape).

I never said it was fine and in fact said it was "horrible" against those chars.

Something needs to be done, I think giving everyone 6-7f pokes to escape would at least make sense, especially if they wanted to preserve DF LK how it is.

We both watched the videos, right? We read through the posts. We read Dizzy's post about what characters genuinely have troubles with this tech. I can see what you're saying, but people who TRULY want balance will want these things gone instead of defending them to any extent.
