This. Can't tell you how many times my girlfriend has had friends over while I was playing mk9 and when I offered to let them play the response was, "yeah I would but all of the female characters look like strippers and porn stars. I wanna play a bad ass warrior chick, not a pole dancer."

Games are getting a little bit better at being more inclusive for women.

Kitana is top 5 in UMK3, Mileena is #1 in MK2, Sonya was top in MK1. Women used to be the shit, now they dropped the "the" and are now just shit.

Well, Sonya is borderline top 3 in MK9, probably 4th. That's not too shabby considering the roster is bigger than the above games.

On that old tier list Kitana and Mileena are Top 5 in MK Gold, Tanya is #1 in MK4. Sonya is pretty high in MKDA and I think Mileena was higher in MKD. I think the ratio in general that there's one female top tier and one on the next tier below in every game including MK9 where Sonya is Top 3 and Kitana is Top 10. I guess the rest of the females are usually mid tier fair characters into low tier.

If Ferra/Torr in MKX is counted as a "female" character I think we can say "she" looks real good up to this point right now.

She's up there in UMK3 as well, but something is definitely... "bigger" about her in MK9. I would love a new female character that isn't a ninja, a cop, or in the military though.

And yet my wife and some female friends of mine LIKED playing them because they were sexy and strong. Its interesting that the fact the Mk women hold their own against the men and are just as brutal is ignored just based on appearance .

So both games had only 1 female in the top 5. Also both MK9 and Injustice had 2 male characters that were also considered in the broke tier or S+ tier.

Why are there not many females in the top 5 for NRS games? Why has there never been a broke tier female character? Is it just a simple matter of math? Since there are less female characters there is less of a chance of making top 5. Or are the male characters actually better. Can someone from the sisterhood maybe come in here and assuage my anxiety. Or if you like girls are you just doomed to be mid-low tier?

On the costume gig, I'm liking how they're more covered now(not that I complained before) personally I couldn't give a shit how they dress.
