New farming location! Seems to be VASTLY superior to every other spot currently known. Luckily for you guys, I won't be an ass and keep it from you. So, without further ado:


I haven't tried it yet, but I intend to give it a shot as soon as I get back from dropping my kids off at school. If you try it, let me know your results! I will do the same.

Vault of Glass (the Raid) should be opening today for you high light level players. Let us know how it is. There's no matchmaking for it though so you have to assemble a fireteam on your own.

I'll be spending the majority of my time doing that farming method that I posted earlier, however. That is unless it doesn't turn out that well.

I just tried it and the video makes it look a little easier than it is to control that cave spawn. I wish he would've shown the other 2 spawns that you have to keep killing in order to make the Hive spawn from that cave. Basically you need 2-3 people. I did it for an hour with some random people helping here in there (at most it was 2 of us) and got a bunch of the same uncommon pieces, a few uncommon ingram, and a blue special weapon ingram. Drop rate seemed good, just not as quick as the video makes out unless you're coordinated with other people.

im on part 3 of the exotic weapon bounty for the shotgun, already have a exotic helmet and legendary auto rifle.

Man some of the abilities of the Rare and Legendary stuff is just nutty
I just randomly found a Rare Sniper rifle that literally has the ability for you to pick up ammo by shooting it.

You only have to clear the area behind it and then they spawn endlessly.

I got a legendary engram already.

How do you guys have fun farming things?

Like... I get much more satisfaction when I'm rewarded for busting ass in the crucible .... then taking advantage of something so.... mundane.

Farming is not fun which is usually why I don't do it. Loot grinding as a mechanic to me is rarely something I enjoy in general.

Some people receive a sense of joy when they earn themselves a piece of loot. It's similar to when you have mastered a fighting game, over time the fighting game becomes repetitive and less enjoyable than when it was new and you were able to learn so much from it. But you still play, because every once in a while you have a really awesome match that comes down to the wire and is enjoyable. That match is very similar to a piece of gear dropping for someone. They are willing to grind for hours for that one piece of gear, similar to how a top player is willing to play a hundred matches for one intense match.

Keep in mind that this farming method is beneficial three-fold. It's great for leveling up your skills, you find lots of Engrams and you level up your Cryptarch at the same time, which gives you MORE Engrams. The higher he gets, the better the Engrams you get from the Postmaster.

I got two legendary Engrams and a blue one when he hit rank 6.

@Eldriken, I still must be doing something wrong. I kill the Fallen spawn near the garage-type area on the hill right behind the cave. Some Hive pop out, I kill all of them....then the garage guys spawn again and I don't see anymore Hive until I kill the garage guys again. What am I doing wrong?
