Injustice: GAU Balance Suggestions

I remember that being a problem, that they could just walk out of it. Just been too long since I played. My bad.
Like I mentioned to him, I didn't stick around long enough to lab that much.
  • Proximity blocking - A style of blocking attacks found in newer fighters: generally speaking, this determines if the distance from your opponent affects whether your character will try to block their attack. In games without proximity blocking, your character will go into a block stance if you hold backwards when their opponent performs an attack regardless of how far away they are from your character, while in games that have it, your character can still move backwards normally with an active enemy attack present and they only start blocking when their opponent's attack is close enough to hit them. Both systems have their benefits and drawbacks: characters in games without it have a more "solid" block at the cost of reduced mobility and movement options when avoiding the opponent's attacks, while games that have it allow characters to reposition themselves better if faced with attacks such as fireballs but might allow the player to fool the system in some way that causes their opponent to move when they meant to block and vice versa. However, all of the above mainly applies to a standing block, as crouching down prevents any unintended movement in most fighters. It also naturally doesn't apply to games that use a block button instead of holding backwards to block.
Injustice is a special case, This game doesnt force you to go into a block animation at ALL UNTIL the blockable move makes contact with you. So until you block, you can keep walking back or forward. If injustice did have any kind of block animation that wouldnt allow you to move, the raven set up would work no problem.

+ Slide is positive frames on hit

Deathstoke
+ Trait has half the start up but instead of unblockable guns give him pre-patch low gun shots and pre-patch chip damage for all his gun shots.

Batgirl
- Corner combos are reduced from 50-55% to 40-45%
- B2U3 and B12 both have -3 added to their advantage on block
+ Batgirl does significantly more chip damage in trait

Aquaman
- Trait cool down is now 20 seconds
- Trident Rush deals only 10% chip damage
- From The Deep doesn't automatically come out from under your opponent's feet, you have to control it with 4 different distances (similar to Zod lasers, Martian pillars, etc.)

Martian
- Overhead teleport costs a bar of meter
- Orbs disappear if Martian is hit
- B3 is only one hit

Flash
- B3 is only one hit
- DF1 does less damage in trait, making his normal trait BnB about 5% less

Zod
- Only one of each speed ball on the screen
- Trait cooldown increased to 18 seconds

Sinestro
- Trait reverted to pre patch charging speed

Bane
- Body Press has more recovery on whiff

Shazam
+ MB Thunderbolt is now unblockable (come on it's so slow, he needs it lol)
+ Trait reverted to pre patch damage
+ D3 is -5 on block

Lex
+ Pushblock into mines into combos do normal damage again

Black Adam
+ Pre patch forward dash
+ You can now MB his bomb on the floor, which makes it blow up whenever you want (similar to Lex's mines)

Green Arrow
+ DB3 is now a 3 frame parry similar to Zod's (come on have you watched The Arrow? He definitely needs a parry lol)
+ Damage raised on Sky Alert by 2% for each arrow
+ Normal trait arrows do 2%
+ DF2 does 3% more damage
+ DF1 does 4% more chip damage

Ares
+ MB Godsmack has infinite armor
+ Trait Axe and Sword both have their cooldown halved
+ D1~Trait Sword can no longer be interrupted on block
+ Give Ares the forward dash and back dash of Black Adam

Joker
+ B1~Low gas canister combos
+ Pushblock into teeth into combo does normal damage
+ DB1 is now an overhead with half the startup
+ Joker's trait should be the buzzer hand from MKvsDC, which lasts way longer than his trait now with way more active frames
+ The HA HA HA in Joker's trait doesn't go away unless a player clashes, hits their opponent with a super, or hits their opponent through a stage transition. Each of Joker's HA makes him deal more damage with his attacks

Zatanna
+ Her BF2 cards are now -10

Grundy
+ May have all 3 trait chains running at once all at 2x, but when either player clashes or hits their opponent with a super or stage transition then Grundy's trait is reset to 0

Catwoman
+ B3 and F3 are both neutral on block
+ Low whip -15
+ Trait scratches are easier to obtain

Cyborg
+ DB1 pops your opponent up in the air and allows a B3 follow up
+ Techno Tackle doesn't suck

Harley Quinn
+ EX silly slide has a hit of armor
+ D2 has a better hotbox
+ You can choose what trait you want

Everyone else I didn't name are fine unchanged

Yea i know what proximity blocking is and how it works. Thanks though.
I remember now why this set up did not work, i literally just forgot about the part where they walk out of it.
The last time I played the game seriously was ECT4. I was at summer jam, but didnt play.

Raven already has a vortex...... Just no one uses it.

End a combo in f22u1.
They are now in a hard knockdown state.
From here you either j1 to hit in fron or j3 to in back.
Or you can slightly walk forward (without being obvious) then use j1 for front and j2 for behind......

This has been known since day1.

EDIT: From here you can loop this without meter.
If you use the slight walk forward varaiation, after the j1 or j2 lands then you do 334 into f22u1 rinse and repeat.
If they can wake up from it it's not a vortex. She has some oki shit what are 50/50 crossup/non-crossup but lot's of characters can just wake up and escape/punish for free.

EDIT: Saw that this was resolved by now. Basically I'm not saying an overhead b2 would give her some fucking dirt (I didn't even suggest it in my original post, I just want faster trait), but it doesn't give her a vortex. The guessing game after f2233, f22u1, jump ins and so on would be fun though.

+ Hurricane Bow is now -6 on block and can be MB'd to be +18, similarly to Nightwing's Staff Spin.

I think giving Grundy a faster f1 would be pretty tight. That or increasing the horizontal hitbox on his d2. Or both. Give me something for footsies pls *cries*

Shazam having b23 not as negative would be super cool, or if f2 was a bit faster or if f1 wasn't a high so you don't get your poop pushed in against characters with long range normals

The following buffs/nerfs are reasonable for my characters :p

Green Arrow:
better backdash (99% of the reason he gets punished)
FA stays 8% on hit, 2% on chip
EA stays 5% on hit but 1.5% on chip
IA does less scaling (it is sometimes as ridiculous as the shackles)
NA do 2% on hit, 1% on block or enemy gets slower on hit as long as the arrow is visible penetrates them (obviously can't stack it, but better pressure options)
trait arrows recovery slightly faster to allow 223 hold 4 dash pressure and 223 does a little more damage.
b1 now hits low but the entire b13 strings is now +5 on block. (sick of my mixups being blocked constantly, his b1 looks like a low for crying out loud)
j2 has a better hitbox (let's give him a poop j2 so you can't land it as consistently as Batman's after j3)
d2 and df2 have better recovery, allowing them to be viable antiairs, I absolutely sick jumping deathstroke's using their j3 all the time on me and me having no answer for it.
d1 is 6 frames (helps with the MMH matchup, I hate his irritating as hell 6 frame d1 when people thought GA's was problematic)

Lobo:
better backdash as his defensive tools are pretty poor
MB Hook Charge produces harder knockdown as much as MB Phase Charge. I hate how MMH gets the most tools (which are probably evenly distributed to other characters except for the simple fact that MB Phase is a 100% in guarantee for an interactable and no one has anything similar)

Sinestro:
b13 is +1 on block as it is his most used combo starter.
shackles scale less (it cheats me out of a lot of damage)
Make the MB meteor safe on block

Lex Luthor:
11 has better hitbox (it still misses everyone despite being mid)
Gravity Mine performs normal damage when pushblocked into.
trait shield level 1 no longer increases damage on hit. It is the most useless variation of the trait.

1. Does not help at all.
2. Would be interesting, but still loses trades in which he's going to need more than this.
3. That's more of a fantasy buff than anything...but he needs something more useful.
4. Okay, this one is at least useful, i'll give you that.

Still he needs other things to be less meter dependant and remotely competitive like a redesigned D2 and adjustments to his B1.

Some things I don't agree with but overall it's quite reasonable. Forever King should be an MKX tester.

Hell, if I remember correctly this just hits mid rather than high like the normal version, it doesn't even gain the overhead property that Zatanna's rings or Ares' projectile gets.

It is a mid. It has ridiculous chip but is too slow to be viable post knockdown for a setup

+Fire arrows work like Reptiles ball...on hit they explode and knock opponents in a juggle state towards green Arrow for combos.
+Green Arrows tiny ranged normals now march him forward slightly to increase his range and combo ability.

Exactly, it's a terrible move. Deserves to be unblockable or at the absolute least an overhead, but even that wouldn't be much of an improvement
Had it been the same startup as regular it could've worked like supermans heat zap on KD. Faster and overhead is not unreasonable either. Atm it's just useless.

- Make AMs MB TR do 5-7% chip and build back 20% meter (change non-MC TR to do 3% chip)
- Make MMH's orbs disappear when hit
- Make MMH's trait have an extra 3 seconds of cool down
- Make BG's F23 have extra damage scaling on it and whatever other string it is she uses in the corner. Making her get 40% in her corner combos instead of 53%.
- Make Zod only be able to have 2 of the same speed ZB on screen at a time.
- That's it.
You have entirely missed my point about MB lightning charge and have misrepresented my arguments, so I will just move forward.

I have quoted your post to highlight your conspicuous bias and hypocrisy. Please name me a couple of very good reasons why Batgirl is not allowed to keep the damaging corner combos while The Flash is.

And of course you would want Aquaman, Batgirl, Martian Manhunter, and Zod to be normalized. These four characters are the only ones superior to the Flash.
