That word is used by anyone nowadays so its no big deal. It would only probably be a big deal if they were to say it in front of me using it as a racist comment. Only then would it go past a video game situation but I only heard it come from @GGA pimpimjim but I can tell it won't go past the mic unless he is looking for a fight.

I agree. But he should have never accepted in the first place. Let's not act like bane doesn't get advantages from lag as well. It's a two way street. He accepted, Helios had internet problems at the scheduled date but still wanted to go forward. Now max thinks about it and doesn't have faith in himself. #hescurred

But that's alright cause he still wins locals...sometimes

The problem is that this game has so much BS that gets amplified with those extra frames of lag. I think CW is probably stronger online, because Bane can't react to jump ins, block string gaps, low whip, random oki shit, footsies.

So do I owe an apology to Ra? Because I don't want to settle OFFLINE MU numbers in an online set? You be the judge.

Anyway, it goes without saying that if I ever was offline with Ra, I'd play the shit out of him. But this is just not worth it for me. Hope everyone understands.

I am really really liking the Ra Helios saga. Whatever happens @Ra Helios know that I admire your persistence and your ability to entertain. GGA Max is a wimp for not fighting, no excuses you for you Max you will get blown up for backing out more than you would have beating the sun god or him beating you.

And let's face it, this community needs a spark. No more is the MMH or Aquaman whining era, it is time for the age of online warriors. GOTS and helios will blow everyone away and create a wave of newcomers. For those who lead TYM and represent it, prepare yourselves to fall from the throne you have forsaken.

I think an online set (or even an offline set really) should just be played for fun. I agree with most who said that this should have happened and it's all fun. If I were Max, I'd do it.

BUT, the same guys who are saying "oh it's just for fun" were the same guys saying Ra Helios will prove the match-up is 4-6 or whatever. Don't be hypocrites. You KNOW for a fact that part of the reason why everyone was so looking forward for this set was because in their minds, this would have implications. Whether vis-a-vis Ra Helios vs. 16 Bit (yes, 16 Bit, who's not playing in this set) or Catwoman vs. Bane. In that regard, I can see Max's point. Hell, Ra Helios himself said "if I win, it's 5-5 and if I lose but win 7 games, it's 6-4." Yes, online FT10's shouldn't settle anything but tell that to people here on TYM. I can see why Max wouldn't think this is worth it. Ultimately, I still would have done it but yeah, anything other than Max massacring him would result in blow-ups.

If Ra was approaching this from an "it's all for fun" attitude it might have been different. As it stands, if he wants to prove the match-up, he should travel. It's as simple as that. If he can't due to money and religious beliefs, I respect that and can't fault him one bit, but that's on him.

Gone Girl was pretty damn fantastic. Fincher really gets the modern world. The Social Network handled the subject presented nearly flawlessly and with this new flick he shows how well he gets the modern media and what kind of massive unnecessary chaos TV stations start over these kind of things. It was a mixture of smart writing, brilliant directing and great performances (except for Neil Patrick Harris). Still, it wasn't free of negatives either. Although extremely fitting and great, I felt the score went overboard at times. I wish they would've kept it more subtle. The first 15 minutes or so are pretty bad, all the characters talk like they were in Kevin Smith's Clerks. Also they cut to 2005 and a character uses the word "ironic hipster", c'mon now. Cinematography was some of the best I've seen this year, editing was absolutely brilliant and the ending was flawless. I gave it an 8/10. I will see it again soon so the score might change.

You guys missed some films.

The Equalizer was awfully average. Everything was so predictable, cliche and uncreative. Some of the effects were neat though and the ending shootout was enjoyable. Still, I wouldn't recommend it. The performances were terrible for the most part, Denzel Washington was likable but still it felt like he didn't even try. Product placement was ridiculous, worse than any of the Spider-Man films. There were some really stupid editing choices which completely took me out of the movie, when Denzel's character is having a discussion with Teri in the diner (pretty original setting don't you think) about his wife they digitally zoomed in each time it cut to the one that was speaking. You could see the quality getting worse and worse each time. It was filled with stuff like that. If you want to see a recent revenge flick I'd highly recommend Blue Ruin or The Rover, both are fantastic.
