General/Other - Sub-Zero 3 Variations of Sub-Zero discussion

This is what I meant.

Silly shit could totally be added to make returning moves dramatically different in use and efficiency.

That said, I wish I could see the source to confirm this.

Hm, this both players throwing the clone business, plus that they haven't actually shown anyone touch the clone, and haven't been selecting the variation with the clone at all, and that the description of the variation reads that the clone "can be thrown or used as a shield" is all alarming...

Who said that?
In today's stream Ed was obnoxiously vague about which Sub Zero it is. The question was basically "Is it Bi Han or Kuai Liang" and his reply was "Sub Zero is a staple of Lin Kuei and has been many characters over the years, story mode will tell you who this one is". Which imo puts a lot of creedence on it being neither.

We actually just saw that with the last Gamestop interview with Ed Boon that was streamed, an hour ago. It freezes the opponent if they run into / jump into the ice clone.

But if they are hit by the clone after it is thrown, it's just damage.

I caught that, but he never said anything about Frost.

So if they just walk in to it... nothing happens? And they can grab it? lol

Unbreakable variation it is!

Wait, I think that there's some miscommunication going on somewhere....

It looks like the Subby Z that created the ice clone can throw it. Not the opponent Subby Z (if that's what you're referring to)

An ice clone that is left out there (meaning not thrown anywhere) acts as the standard ice clone that we are all familiar with.

Okay, whew--only one I haven't been able to catch so far.

So where's the "opponent can throw the clone" rumor is coming from?

I have no idea. I haven't even heard of this until you just now brought it up.

TYM running rampant and unchecked, I suppose. :)

Truf said on the OBS that it's like an interactable that both players can throw. Not sure if he meant EX or not.

Then when's all this about the opponent being able to throw it too? lol

If it's like normal clone, sweet!

I would imagine some chars you will need to learn at least 2 variations. Sub would likely be one of them. I wouldnt be surprised if clone lost a great deal of its effectiveness against zoners.

Dude I got what you were saying. People have been flat out making claims that the Clone variation WILL be most viable for Sub-Zero which will remain to be unseen until long after the game is released. That's completely different from expressing excitement about a variation or saying which variation you think will work best for yourself. Now I'm not sure what you said in another thread, but you were misunderstood here.
