Liu kang did not die in MK9, he will come back in the new game as evil seeking revenge on raiden, and possibly become the fire god.
Alright, *maybe* he will. Chalk Kang up as a possibility because that would actually be pretty rad. Would kinda make sense too if they're gonna try and mix elements of the Legacy web series in with the story.

MK9 starts chronologically before MK1 (introduction to Cage as actor and is confused about everything). So they can literally put a story anywhere in the storyline. This post doesn't even make sense.

Anyway, yeah, I would wanna see Smoke in MK10, but in the grand scheme of things he doesn't hold much significance. So bringing him back for the sake of it would please me only momentarily before I realize how stupid it was.
