After the bartitsu brutality, I pressed some buttons by accident and Bo'Rai Cho farted and said excuse me.
Is the input for this known?

So does monkey flip make swig safe every time? cause in my experience it does make it safe but you arent plus.
I think it comes down to your opponents options and reactions. Teleports and such will obviously punish you for drinking. Knocking them out of the air with a DB3 just grants enough hit advantage to make it completely safe

so i played some dragons breath a bit, and good god is it easier to play. Not as fun though. DM keeps you so busy to keep your tools. I think once i get used to where and how to keep the drinks going i will be better. Do we have a list of safe drink setups? How about drink frametraps, or plus drink setups? or drinkbaits?

ah so it has to be airborne, that makes sense. Granted that will make getting drink setups and baiting the wakeup easier. so for example 341>121>db3> drink should be safe right?

So far the safest and best way to drink is to cancel the available specials into drink. ExDB2, exBF4, when stunned in a fart cloud, DD4, DB1 when already drunk.

It may mean sacrificing damage for the chance to drink but the tools he gains make it worth it IMO

Armouring through with ex bf4 and throw?

I was mostly looking for universal solutions. For me, the first drink is generally the hardest and least safe. Plus i like to use monkey flips to keep the opponent scared.
I hear ya. It is his best mix up with out a drink in him. The first drink is always the hardest, I generally play until I can stun them in a cloud or catch them with a dd4.

same here. He has a decent toolset no drinks, but an amazing set with drinks. either in fart stun, monkeyflips on hit, or dd4xxdd3. I think the real weakness in this variation is that once you have a drink you can only block for so long before you get opened up, and unless you have meter there aint a damn thing you can do about it. This alone makes dm vs liu and lao a 7/3.

I haven't had the pleasure of facing either quite yet but I can see where you're coming from. He does have a 6frame D1 though so, aslong as you can hold the pressure for a moment, both of them can be stopped in their tracks. Don't give up hope just yet.

I'm more worried about the Kitana match up personally. Good zoning to keep you out and when you do get in she has forward advancing, fast hitting strings (in comparison to BRC). I played a Kitana the other day and all I could do was D4 with nothing to follow it up.

On a side note; does DD3~2 have any anti-air potential? I feel like it should but I can't check st the moment.

Its hitbox would suggest it does. I assume that on hit you could rc into 12 fart for full punish, i think the hard part is getting into sexypose when someone is jumping in.

Also a thing to note is you can go into sexypose from b4 without a drink, i usually do b4d keg roll away as my starting gambit.

I find that if I'm in meditate and the opponent is at jump distance they will usually do a jump attack which tends to catch my roll at the same time. I don't reckon you could DD3~2 on reaction but it'd be nice to have for those situations

From what vlad put out it seems like puke is a better anti air. In my experience it catches everything that isnt behind you. A run cancel into 12fart gives a drink and a full combo. I'll have to do some experimenting to see about the dd32.
