How am I not consistent when I've placed top 8 at every tournament besides Evo?
You are really trying to forget CEO arent you? I Put you in the possible 5th slot. Like i said its really hard to pick just 5 people. Yes you have placed top 8 at every event but not getting that Evo placing is kinda like a giant stop sign. Its great to get top 8 at every tournament. But when you are not making money from getting 8th-4th at some events. And you cannot make top 8 at evo its kinda eh.

@Pig Of The Hut On mobile so i cannot quote more than one post. Most of the EC events had yomi/out of country people. TCW had Foxy, ECT had canada. although they didnt make top 8 at those events they were able to make top 8 at EVO. It seems that the competition Level is just really strong at every event in general. With yomi, sonicfox, canada, ect. going to all these events. You even have people who you would not expect getting top 8 at some of these events.

Yes, 20+ top 8s with weak comp, free pools and winning 7-3 matchups, just like MK9 and Injustice. Your resume is padded.

There's a reason you place and then get clowned on when you play fox, denzell, theo, and jupiter in tournament. You've never been the man, you'll never be the man.

Also, please take the MK9 top 5 thing out of your signature because it is not, and has never been true.
Are you planning on attending any of the tournaments king has mentioned? Summerjam, NEC, KIT? Or will this just become another infamous $1000 money match that never happens?

What we should really do is figure out which team has the most wins to its name.

@FOREVER KING @SonicFox5000

PND as a collective has 8 big wins.

Then we also need to put a value on a top 8 placement compared to a top 5/grand finals finish.

I think the trend is, Cr/PND enter and win, yomi enter and make up all the other placements at the mercy of sonic fox. Unless obviously DJT beats him, since he seems to be the only guy that can.

PND are clearly gonna be the hardest to guage in terms of comparing teams, but the time PND actually took their players to the states PND had a slight edge over yomi and cr, with the exception of sonic fox.

Salt face eliminated Madzin.
Ketchup takes zyphox & FKJR
AFG over DJT
MIT over ketchup
Honeybee over ketchup
AFG over honeybee
Sonic fox over all.

A team battle would be so much fun :D
Adding wins and money doesn't seem to equate though.

For example, in what % of European open events you entered (not counting exhibitions, etc). did you not make Top 8 or Top 4?

In US open bracket events, you missed Top 8 at TCW. ESL Finals wasn't open, so technically it doesn't count the same, and you placed 7th out of 16 -- it was clearly more difficult for you than a lot of the events you breezed through in the UK, and you were outplaced by a number of guys who aren't US absolute top players. You admitted that Madzin had to help you shore up some holes in your game for you to place at EVO, which is fair, and congratulations to you for doing so well at that tourney. But you still weren't able to beat Fox (which is what Denzell typically would have to do here to win a major and collect the biggest part of the prize pot).

It's probably safe to say that if you have to play against Sonic Fox and DJT at every tournament in Europe, as is the case with the way guys have been traveling in the US, you guys probably wouldn't have won nearly as many events or collected as much money. Or put another way, if we stuck Denzell in Europe and brought you over here, chances are he'd clean up over there and win a bigger quantity of events than he'd win having to play the people he plays at every tourney here. His total money won (and therefore YOMI's) would probably be at least triple what it is here or more.

So although it's laudable that you've been highly successful, the totals of money and wins still need to be taken with a grain of salt given what it takes to actually win majors consistently here in the states. If you were fighting Sonic for those dollars it might have been a different situation entirely.

Based on the total tournament resume from both players, king is drake and cowboy is meek.
Why? King has traveled more so being the player he is ... should have better placings. But every tournament they've both been at besides MWC (I think? ) Wound has outplaced him. It's a tough call but neither are top 5 based on results so the argument is moot. Based on recent history I would take Wound. But I guess we will find out at SCR.

can't.... stop.... reading...... thread.....

Top 5 imo(purely a spectator)

Sonicfox
Foxy
DJT
Reo
MIT

Favorite to watch

DJT
Foxy
Sonicfox
Big D
MIT

I feel bad for not including Honeybee in either. I don't understand his character well enough for him to be a favorite to watch, and I feel like he could either fall in the 4th or 5th spot of the top 5 depending on how you look at it.

Pig always brings the hype. I wish he would make a controversial thread every week. Good stuff, sir.

Yes, it was also more difficult for him than the event he breezed through in the US while dropping one game until the Grand Finals, where he was one game away from becoming the world champion. That event was called EVO.

The event he didn't win, which he very well could have won if Sonic Fox wasn't there. And that's the problem with comparing wins and prize dollars.

That event is also one out of 3 events he attended here. And the other two were far from -- breezed through. Yet he's never missed a grand finals in the EU. I think the difference in difficulty of winning it all is entirely clear from the facts.

Rate of making grand finals in the EU -- 100%
Rate of making grand finals in the US -- 33%

Percentage of events won in UK -- 60-70%
Percentage of events won in UK -- 0% (0/3)
