Like I said before, I or others shouldn't be comparing uk majors to us majors. It's his uk wins + beating djt and honeybee at evo for 2nd place that is making him the 2nd best player. The money thing shouldn't be that relevant for ranking a player, I agree.

Yeah, I agree that he's earned the right to be considered second best overall by accomplishment. But that wasn't at all what I'm talking about.

The point was that saying "let's rank/compare US/EU teams by the total prize money and number of events they've won" is a bad/unfair comparison.

Am I the only one wondering why @Pig Of The Hut doesn't include a poll with ~20 players and give everyone the option to pick 5 players?

Because in those threads the juice is never loose and remains stuck lumped in a caboose because the easy way out was an option that no one is scared to take and then leave

Also in polls "someone" is always forgotten therefor results never really are found correct

It's nothing special. So far, anyway. If you really like Saul's character then it's pretty neat, but if you're not too fussed about him you're not missing out on anything amazing.

Why? King has traveled more so being the player he is ... should have better placings. But every tournament they've both been at besides MWC (I think? ) Wound has outplaced him. It's a tough call but neither are top 5 based on results so the argument is moot. Based on recent history I would take Wound. But I guess we will find out at SCR.

If u count mk9, injustice and mkx, king has cowboy beat by far.

And the "not traveling as much" reason still has no power in the situation due to the FACT that both mit and djt didn't travel at all for injustice and still placed top 8 at EVO for injustice.

I thought they'd ruin what a great thing Breaking Bad was. I felt BB was perfect and anything extra would only take away from its awesomeness even though I didn't want it to end.


I was wrong. Better Caul Saul is surprisingly great. It's its own thing but has the same BB flavor, and I actually want a season 2. I binge watched the whole thing as usual. I recommend doing the same.

I see we're back to downplaying EVO when it's most convenient and suits our argument re: whatever player we're trying to boost/downplay. Some things never change.

In before "EVO is important but not the end all be all"...until your favorite wins it.

Both u and @CrimsonShadow make great points but in terms of EVO, it is not the ONLY big major in the FGC. Yea it is the biggest but u can not take away the power of CEO, ECT, and the ones to come like NEC, Final Round...

There has been a lot of talk about European players yet only ketchup, foxy and madzin have been mentioned so may I just remind everyone that Europe is a continent and there are a lot of other players to be considered. Saying that a lot of these players haven't had a chance to go to tournaments but all I'm say is EVO 2016 Europe is coming for YOU.

on a different note- the fact that Yomi can financially go to every tournament is a HUGE factor in their dominance. If the Honeybees, WoundCowboys, FoxyGrandpas, ect were afforded that same luxury - majors would reflect a much different top 8 IMO.
MKX Majors demography often comes down to Yomi, Sonic and local players in that state/area. So yes Yomi often takes up the top spots due to talent and shear number of members. But when its a CEO, or Evo where a vast majority of the best from all over come to battle. The Yomi boys aren't heads above the rest ,that spot goes to Sonic Fox.
lets say Yomi has 10 core members and another financial backer put together a group with 10 of the top players not named Sonic Fox, paid and supported them to travel to every MKX event. I guarantee that MKX top 8 wouldnt be flooded with Yomi members.
AND this is from a Yomi supporter. There's a financial gap not talent gap separating the players.
