Lets make this thread great again
As I said before I belive Kenshi doesnt need all that much to be top tier

Universal:
- d4 down to 10 frames
- fixed hitbox issues
- better 3 hitbox (so it wouldnt be high-crushed by dozens of moves)
- safe push across all variations
- less teleflurry recovery on wiff (can only be wiffpunished from 1/2 screen or less) across all variations
- teleflurry safe on block across all variations
- regular parry 5 frames startup
- b1 neutral on block
- d2 down to 6 frames

Balanced:
- ex Rising Karma advantage on block
- ex teleflurry hits mid (also safe or small unsafe -12~-14)

Possessed:
- Better hitbox on low demon (like that of a shotgun jackie, so you can actually hit people jumping)
- Teleport or overhead demon get run cancel

Kenjutsu:
- f2 faster (16 frames)
- db2 -14 and pushes back on block so it cant be punished easily

In conclusion: Kenshi is by far one of the worst designs in history of fighting games especially considering the sum of all parts (characters) around him. It's my feeling and study he is by far one of the worst characters in MKXL and his core problem is his extremely poor design and awful uneventful buffs.

If anyone wants to attempt to change my mind about these MU #s do it with video evidence and not theory crafting. This has been a work in progress for 17 months

I feel Kenshi is between 5th and 4th worst in the game. He's garbage. He's a fair character in a broke game. He's the guy at the bar getting into a fight w a wooden stick vs a bunch of guys w AK47s.

In comparison Sonic fox feels he is 8th worst

List of players who have tried to pick him up, find something good about him but gave up:

Scar
Ashenar
Blackula (quit because of Kenshi)
And more

Special note: you know a character is complete shit when not even Forever King will sandbag w him in a pivotal top8 match when he is down 0-2 and you know a character isn't top tier if king (to his credit) looks at a character and never uses him once.

If you main Kenshi then you're playing with a dumpster fire and should not attend tournaments because you'll end up wasting time off work, $400-500 in costs to be pool fodder in the current state of the game

Ways Kenshi can be viable at tournament:
-Madzin awaits an opponent in GF
-Tom awaits an opponent in GF
- a cyrax player has emerged from the ashes and awaits an opponent in GFs
-one of the many top Takeda players awaits you in GF

Only then is picking Kenshi a good idea if you have mastered him. If you have not you will get dedicated on and feel an ounce of my 17 months of pure agony and pain.

However I'm open to these number changing here and there w video evidence but I'm in no way interested how you do vs your training partner in some third world country, small American town, online clan battles, etc. show me best vs the best or don't consider arguing at all. However this question always baffles me. People will ask "pig what's the best variation for kenshi" the answer you see is not so easy. Here's real rap

Kenshi's three variations are like three women at a bar. They want you, they want nothing more than to talk with you and start a relationship with you. You might ask yourself which one is the best. Well here is the issue

Woman 1 has AIDS
Woman 2 has a contagious skin rot
Woman 3 is an active wanted serial killer

There isn't a good answer which to choose, just choose the lesser of three evils.

It's at this point in the post where I say if anyone ever doubts me again three days into a game when I say a character is a dumpster fire, please do not tell me to give it time. I've given 17 months to this vomit and have nothing to show for my efforts because of how crud he is. I rest my case

Yes a proper backdash would be awesome, but don't ya think a 6f d2 is a little too much? I mean 7f yeh (it's currently 8f now right?), but any faster would very very good. Not saying I myself wouldn't love that but given the lists you provided on top of it just looks (on paper) like people are gonna have their pitchforks ready for kenshi next.....if that all happens. Granted, it's long overdue :p

Great list! Some additions I would make:

I would give him a 6f d1, as a defensive character. B2 should bring back shades of mk9 one and have a purpose in all three variations.

For Balanced another option would be regular teleflurry on block like it is now, but with the option to meterburn it on whiff ala Jacqui's df2 mb, so the rest of the hits come out. Allows him to make it safe at the cost of a bar, and adds respect to his keepaway.
By the way, Balanced overhead slash turns out to be +1 on hit. It still sucks and it should be more plus as you say, but some people here tried to use that to say I don't know my char and discredit all I had to say, so be careful xD

Kenjutsu needs his exdf1 to be able to recapture airbone opponents. Db1 hitbox changed so it works better to antiair, now it only works vs jumps that start too far.

Possessed should be able to teleport in the air.

OH slash in Balanced being -1 on hit = me mashing the fuck out of d4 when I get hit by it.

It's actually around +1 or so I think it was found in that "Save Balanced Kenshi" thread. Which +1 is shit as fuck but yeah just thought I'd put that out there.

Just would add to this, higher air time after DB1 in Kenjutsu. Right now it's really tight to connect for a move that unsafe and with such a heavy damage scalling.

Well before you make such a completely inaccurate post where you're literally talking out of your ass, do a bare minimum of looking into it, or just say nothing. Pig was ridiculous in both MK9 and Injustice. Whether you're intending to or not, you just look like someone trying to rain on someone when you hold no info.
