I liked that game. This new game sucks.

So you basically want MK9 Scorpion again who the vast majority of the community agreed he needed buffs anyway? Great call dude. For the record, I still played Scorp in MK9 even though he didn't fit into the metagame with negative on hit pokes. Be careful what you wish for.

You are telling me that you want want Scorpion banned because HE SPAMS TELEPORT?! That is pathetic. I guess I held some of you guys to a higher standard. I guess I figured you guys could deal with a spammed move. I thought you guys knew how to take the match slow. I thought you guys knew what it meant to capitalize on your characters tools.

You proceed to say that Kabal was broken for years. I think most top players think Kabal is overrated. Funny how all of a sudden he isn't just to help your argument that doesn't really make any sense. The Injustice community isn't necessarily the MK community. I guess I am hardly a part of the Injustice community anymore. I am sick of this whining. Go ahead and ban Scorpion because you wont "adapt". Half of you shove that campaign down eachother's throats. Funny how that doesn't work anymore. I guess if Scorpion is banned my one goal on TYM will be fulfilled. I will finally be able to say that the "adapt" campaign was fallacious. That is one good thing. At least there are still some people with some sense. I thought the poll would be dominate toward banning him.

It is funny that we should wait a few months before changing a few frames in a nerf. But it is ok to discuss banning a character within a month. When Injustice or MK10 launches... and Scorpion is banned. I will cry for nerfs everyday. Then I will explain how the community banned Scorpion so they can STFU. Lololololololol.

BANNING SCORPION IS NO DIFFERENT THAN CRYING FOR NERFS. ULTIMATELY IF YOU BELIEVE IN THAT STUPID "ADAPT" CAMPAIGN AND WANT SCORPION BANNED YOU ARE A WHINY HYPOCRITICAL SCRUB. SCORPION =/= BROKEN. SCORPION = DIFFERENT PLAYSTYLE TO TAKE DOWN (Patience and actually learning the MU might help).

If Scorpion is banned, the the Injustice community will forever be labeled by the rest of the FGC as a bunch of scrubs. Better games have thrived with even more dominant characters, 3S Chun, the 4 Gods in MvC2, Level 3 X-Factor Vergil. Can't see why the Injustice community can't do the same with Scorpion.

lmao so you want any high tier/broken/or whatever you want to call... char to be a shit tier char? yeah, lets nerf Supermeng, Batmeng and every characters until the game becomes worse than MK4 so you and i can see the real character loyalty of the fans :16Bit. The way you want can do nothing but make some other people cry and bitch more. Nerfing chars and making chars look like shit are different.

A lot of people need to go back and read. The ban isn't because he's too goood

The ban isn't because he wins every match. He doesn't .

The ban isn't because he is hard to block and you have to play patient .



The ban is because he breaks fundamental parts of the game like the interactable system , zoning all while dominating half of the cast completely free. The move is not designed for this game and fundamentally breaks important aspects of the game because his tools were not designed for it. It's the same as ST Akuma.

A F0xy Grampa okay I retract my statement that I made yesterday. I have been studying scorpion for the last few weeks non stop. And I finally got to fight him again last night. It just didn't matter. I mean I was able to win (I ended up losing the serious set only by a few games.) But it had nothing to do with any decision I made. Even if you play a character like WW or Aquaman, there is still no skill involved it's just random. I just want to apologize for making statements when I actually didn't know what the situation truly was.

This post is what how I actually feel towards this debate.

Let me clear up the mkt/mk4 comparisons I made. I understand that igau has back to block and that mkt/mk4 have a block button. But you need to look past that. My actual comparison between scorpion in igau and older mk games is the following. I feel like sometimes when you are on defense in the older mks that you kind of have to play a rock paper scissors game.

I feel that scorpion makes you do this similar sort of guessing game in injustice, but he is the ONLY character that does this and it makes no sense. I wasn't making the comparison in full seriousness yesterday, so I never truly explained this. If I did, everyone would see that I do agree he is out of place. All the characters in the older mks play a certain way and have a block button, so there is a flow to the game. However, like I said, scorpion is the only one in the game who does this.

I do not like to ban characters or stages or anything of the like in most fighters. Unless nothing is proven to counter it. I am always a player who will look for things to counter something deemed "broken" or "over-powered". But in this case it's not that he is broken as a whole, it is just the teleport. It does not belong in a game like this. There really is nothing to look for because of how teleport works currently.

Quit your goddamn bitching and learn to beat him. For fuck's sake you can duck the teleport.

Kabal didn't need to be banned (or Kenshi, or Cyrax) and neither does scorpion. It's not like that tele leads to a touch of death combo.

I voted yes because I don't think EVO should be the guinea pig test of our FG. Don't you guys want IGAU back next year? If ANYBODY with a brain outside of this game, example the THOUSANDS of players attending evo and when they eventually say "that char is fucked up and clearly doesn't belong in the game" what is our response supposed to be?

I feel like we should make a script like they do at call centers cause no sane logical person would want our game being embarrassed at Evo to prove a point that was obvious to being w/

I always say, adapt or don't play. That's my motto. The question here is, is it worth it for everybody to say "I'm not playing". No. I hate bans. I hate nerfs. I'm one of the biggest supporters of saying "just level up" in the community. But we all have to realize that sometimes that can only go so far. I am a firm believer that this game will die if this does not happen. So for the life of the game, Getty him out.

Here's how I see it after going through pages of this thread.

Ban him now for CEO and EVO, un-ban him afterwards. Getting away from the endless restating that Scorpion breaks the fundamentals of the game, if Scorpion's only been here for a little more than 2 weeks and there's already such an uproar, there's definitely a problem here. Solution? I'm probably gonna get flak for this, but leveling up is the best way. The major problem with that is that 2 weeks isn't enough time to level up for the biggest US major. So get rid of the problem temporarily, the let everyone sort it out afterwards. I think that everyone who plans to use him will be fine w/o him. It'll make everything right with the world where all the bad players get blown up in pools and anyone worth their salt makes it to the top, instead of the bad scorpion players getting through pools just get trashed by the good scorpion players while the people who lost at the blocking challenge are sitting there watching ninja leapfrog questioning why scorpion's even in the game.

TL;DR version: Cage him now, free him later, make the universe safe for sometime.

Instead of sitting here talking nonsense, maybe you should contact Mr. Wizard and try and get this happening. Get on twitter, tag him on here, something. If you want this shit to happen you better start doing it now, because he wont listen a week before EVO.

I honestly dont care anymore. Ban him if you all want, and see what happens. Maybe it will be good for the community, maybe it wont. Idc

I just hope that all of you who said no are actually planning to attend 1 major this year. And I hope if you get knocked out by an inferior player w/Scorpion, you don't complain about him either or how broken he is. I was one of the BIGGEST advocates when he came out to "level up and learn how to fight him". After a month, and a patch, there truly is no answer at the highest setting. Before our game is humiliated at Evo w/top 5 scorpions, let's fix it now

REDRUM No he's serious, he made several posts defending his stance. That's his opinion, that no ban for scorpion or any char
