Third Augment Slot Will Finally be Available

Yes... for offline play... WHY?

ToT are mostly a modifier-fest enough as is... what other offline modes could benefit from this addition?

I'll probably have fun goofing around with this a little. Back when I played Injustice 2 I didn't really know shit about fighting games and would have loved this. This will probably be a big hit with the casual crowd that mostly wants to do big crazy combos and pimp out their character.

Sounds fun tbh. Jinsei augments that alter special moves - for example Jade throwing 2, 3 or 4 glaives depending on the augment level.

Only the Jinsei augments can be used in the third slot right?
 
It seems like an honest attempt at making the towers more enjoyable for those who dislike relying on konsumables, and also boss towers are gonna feel a lot more fair when we can throw a bunch of bullshit back at them using augments.

This may also fix only 4 characters or so having really broken augments while everyone else has complete trash and instead give everyone a chance at being broken in towers.

Even so, I'm gonna miss my armor on wakeup Terminator. I'm hoping that'll be one of his Jinseis.
 
I just don't get it... They are putting effort in making the augments.... Why not make it available in one mode where we can play online aand just have fun? I miss test your luck and this could be something. smh

We really won't know until we see the full patch notes I guess.

What really amazed me with this announcement was the fact that the patch will completely replace and change the augments the players have, literally invading the players' inventory.

Theoretically, this could also happen with assists and konsumables. That is, replacing Ermac's 1-slot projectile assist with a 3-slot tag-in assist, should they decide to make him playable.

It would have been nice if the guy on the left had actually asked "So what does this mean for augments I already have that I love?"

After all, No Man's Sky killed itself for me with the Atlas Rises update (no need for any "NMS was killed for me at launch" jokes, that horse is long dead). I'd bought it after Foundations was launched, for around £13.00, when it had all the base building added and spent weeks and weeks scouring the galaxy for resources (and yes I enjoyed the game, it was cerebral and enjoyed the exploration), learning the mechanics and recipes for crafting, searching for ocean planets just to find some glowing seaweed that would make glass, built a small but lovely little base full of all the specialists on a tranquil snow planet with no aggressive life forms, built near a bustling space port just a 2 minute drive away, learned loads of all the languages so most conversations were all written in English... then the Atlas Rises update launches. Suddenly all the elements are renamed, different things craft different things, my planet's become a scorched hell-hole full of arsehole creatures, the space port is gone, my base itself was fucked too, my specialists falling through the floor, my furniture floating above the ground, planets growing through the flooring, ladders blocked off, I use a language stone and it awards me for learning my first word in Gek and I'm staring at it going "I knew the whole fucking language before!!!!!"

It unmade all the hard-work I'd done to such an extent that I just had no passion to start again, no matter how much better the updates were.

I know it's not the same level of redesign, but I don't want to feel like all the time and effort I've put in over the last year getting some amazing augments in this game that give me characters I have "jobs" for, like Kombat Manager 2019, has been wasted - the A.I. Sindel who hurts them whenever she's hit does the ToTs for me, the FATAL fatal blow D'Vorah is there for the boring as hell multiplayer boss towers, and my main Kabal is there when I need to do some good old fashioned ass-kicking and face-hooking. Really don't want to lose what I've crafted those characters into :(

Great... I finally get a second Laid Waste for D'Vorah just a day and a half before I can likely never use it again.

Just stacked it with my original Laid Waste (had the less powerful 6% Swarming Reinforcements stacking it before, which was devastating enough as a combination)... fatal blow took out a Ko-Op tower boss from full health. Why couldn't I have been allowed to have this much stupid fun with this for months? I've spent weeks trying to get a second one and it never dropped... so of course now that the whole augment system is being reconstructed in 36 hours, NOW it drops :(

That said, as an aside, I'm sure something is wrong with either hers or Baraka's version of the same Fatal Blow modifying augments; hers are 3%, 6% and 9%. Stacked version of the 9% version is just pure devastation. Baraka gets 0.3%, 0.6% and 0.9%... seriously? Was someone drunk that day or they just did it for the lols for poor old Baraka? Can't work out if hers were over-pecentaged or his were under-percentaged, either way Baraka's are a pathetic trade off against D'Vorah boss killer there.

Do you own the Baraka one that does 0.9%? If yes can you tell me its name and category please?
I must confess I actually don't, I've got the 0.3% and 0.6% ones, but not the 0.9% version. To be honest I was just assuming it existed since almost all of the augments that have 3% and 6% versions have a "perfected" 9% version that I just expected Baraka to also have at his disposal in its respective 0.9%? Maybe it doesn't exist at all?

Either way the fact that his are all beneath even 1% is a flat-out joke compared to D'Vorah's ridiculous 9%, especially when stacked, how is that in any way a fair version for him of literally the same augment modifier? :confused:

Anyway, wouldn't worry yourself too much about it - they're all be gone in 36 hours :p
