Let's have a conversation based of positivity here guys. I'll start it off. I love TYM. Since I joined back in 2011 I check it everyday frequently. Almost as much as I check my Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Yes I'm a social media junk. Hell even my girlfriend of two years knows about this site and what it means to me. I'm writing this as an open letter to every single member. The lurkers, online warriors, tournament players, top players. Everyone. I want to hear about what TYM means to you personally. Here's my story.
In 2011 I stumbled across this website on accident as I was looking through online tutorials on how to do combos with different characters. My initial reaction was that I was an encyclopedia for all things MK related. That was cool to me because I've been a fan of MK since I was a child. Thanks to you guys I learned how to do combos! That was BIG for me at the time lol. I didn't understand the concept of tournaments either. I remember seeing a post by PIG back then trying to get people to come play offline, and I made plans to go but... I pissed that $300 away a strip club (That was well worth it!) 3 years later I also kind of understand what frame data, spacing, and footies mean. I've been to a local tournament a couple of times and it was fun. So I just want to say thank you to every on TYM for helping me find a positive hobby. I'm not running the streets. I'm not in jail. I just go to work, spend time with my woman & family, and playing Fighting games. I can't complain about life.
*Side Note* @Tom Brady Back in 2011/2012 I said some off the wall slick shit to you that you probably don't even remember in the Sub-Zero forums, but I'm sorry dude. Been meaning to say that for a while now.
Also thanks to the Atlanta guys for making me feel very welcomed at the locals.
All in all though man seriously... I love this site. It really does keep me productive. I love checking it everyday. Fuck I watch tournaments at work. I've called off work and ordered Pizza Hut to watch EVO the past two years.
So what's your story with TYM? Why do you love it?
I wont do a spell check. I dropped out of college for a reason so If you see something grammatically incorrect deal with it.
Positives Vibes man.
